Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese cultures, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The universe will reward acts that are in harmony with this principle, while doing things such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.
Retribution Case in Gaosha Town, Dongkou County in Hunan Province
On June 2, 2008, several staff members from the government office of Gaosha Town, Dongkou County, Hunan Province, arrived on motorcycles to seize Falun Gong practitioners. One staff member, Yang Dali, crashed his motorcycle into a truck and his knees were smashed. As of October 2008, he was still bedridden and could not walk.
Xu Shiwen of the Zibo City 610 Office Died of Cancer
Xu Shiwen was an agent of the Zibo City 610 Office. He used to be the Party secretary of the Working Committee in Zibo City. After the Chinese Communist Party began to persecute Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, he was transferred to the Zibo City 610 Office. Soon afterwards, his legs started hurting him. Practitioners explained the truth about Falun Gong to him and told him that the persecution was an intolerable injustice. However, he was keen on realistic gains and ignored their advice. He kept on plotting ways to "transform" practitioners and to deceive them into betraying their fellow practitioners.
In February 2007, he developed cancer. During that period practitioners clarified the truth about Dafa many times to him. He still refused to accept their advice. On July 5, 2008, he died in a hospital in Ji'an City.
