(Clearwisdom.net) Recently on the Clearwisdom website, I read some articles about rescuing practitioners in prison by paying money. I then remembered how a local practitioner dealt with this issue several years ago.
At the beginning of 2002, "Getting out of prison with righteous thoughts" was a phrase that no one had yet heard of. Practitioner Mr. Yan was sentenced to forced labor for making truth-clarification materials. He faced the tribulation confidently and tried to eliminate all of his attachments. With Teacher's hints, he found his shortcomings. One day he suddenly displayed severe physical symptoms. The following day, authorities from the labor camp told his brother-in-law to come and take him home. So outside several iron gates, Mr. Yan met with his brother-in-law. Mr. Yan asked his brother-in-law, "Did you pay any money to get me released?" His brother-in-law didn't answer, so Mr. Yan turned around and head back toward the iron gates. His brother-in-law answered hurriedly, "No, no, I didn't pay any money. Please believe me." The guards standing nearby also chimed in, "No, he did not pay any money." Mr. Yan said, "That is good."
Afterwards, Mr. Yan had to check out. When he was taken to the labor camp, he did not pay a penny. But when he left, he was given about 600 yuan. That was because when the agents from the local 610 Office took him to the labor camp, they paid the labor camp 1000 yuan.
Several years later, when I recalled Mr. Yan's experience, I had the profound realization that we are required to validate Dafa. In whatever circumstance, it is our responsibility and mission to validate Dafa. Our release is to validate the supernatural nature of Dafa. If we are released because someone pays a lot of money, that is validating money and personal connections instead of validating Dafa, which is an insult to Dafa. So it is not a simple question of being released or not, but that of validating Dafa under any conditions.
Some practitioners may ask, "Mr. Yan turned around and started to walk back to the labor camp. Wasn't he acknowledging the old force's arrangements?" I don't believe so. His behavior was rooted in his steadfast belief in Dafa. He firmly believed that he could find a way out through Dafa. Even in that circumstance, he was very clear on this point, and he adhered to the righteous thought that he is a Dafa disciple, his mission is to safeguard Dafa, and he would not do anything that insulted Dafa.
In my local area, at the beginning of the persecution, Mr. Yan and several other practitioners resisted rescuing fellow practitioners using money and instead focused on disintegrating the evil. Due to their efforts, this doesn't happen much in our region.
But recently, in some areas, families of practitioners are frequently "buying out" detained practitioners with tens of thousands of yuan. Some even did this under the guise of a "rescue." It seems that practitioners who were detained came up with the idea, which affected the external environment. Did the family members who are also practitioners consider what they would be validating by "buying out practitioners?" This would be validating the evil and the strength of money and personal connections. What are we doing if we don't validate Dafa but instead validate the evil's policies?
The above is only my personal understanding. Please point out my mistakes.
