1. [Tianjin] Three Practitioners Taken into Custody
On the evening of December 1, 2008, the police broke into a motorcycle repair store along the roadside in Zhangdaokou Village, Dasi Town, Xiqing District, Tianjin. The police forcibly took into custody three male practitioners. The practitioners' whereabouts are unknown.
2. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Li Yifei Detained and Money Extorted from Her Family
Ms. Li Yifei, 53, lives at the Jiedong Coal Mine in Chenzhou City. On the morning of November 7, 2008, she was taken into custody by local police officers for distributing brochures in Xifengdu Town in the Suxian District in Chenzhou City. Ms. Li was detained at the Chenzhou Detention Center for 15 days. She was released after 500 yuan was extorted from her family.

3. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhao Shoujin and His Wife Taken into Custody
On December 1, 2008, Mr. Zhao Shoujin, in his 60s, and his wife were taken into custody. The two practitioners were forced to leave their home town of Shibajiazi Township in Changtu County to avoid unlawful arrest. They were taken to the Changtu County Detention Center.
On August 15, 2008, half a dozen police officers from the County Domestic Security Division searched Mr. Zhao's home. On August 17, Liu Jianxin, head of the Domestic Security Division, led officers to Mr. Zhao's home to harass him. They asked his family to pay 20,000 yuan in exchange for a settlement. As a result Mr. Zhao had to leave town with nowhere to go.

4. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Sun Yufa Taken to a Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Sun Yufa, in his 60s, lives in Zazi Town, Jiangyuan District, Baishan City. He has been under constant police harassment. Mr. Sun was twice held at the Xieli Detention Center in Jiangyuan District. He was forced to leave town with nowhere to live. He was arrested outside of town and sentenced to three years of forced labor. He was held in Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City.
In the labor camp, Mr. Sun was viciously beaten and forced to engage in slave labor. The guards placed L-shaped iron bars under his feet and wooden pillars on top of them. They then dragged the pillars left and right besides stepping and grinding on his bare feet. Mr. Sun's feet were seriously injured. His feet still feel numb to this day. He was held over a month after his forced labor term ended when the guards hit his back and legs with wooden planks. His back and legs turned dark purple. Local police officers continued to harass him after he returned home.
On the afternoon of December 2, 2008, officers from the Zazi Police Station banged on the door. Mr. Sun did not let them in. They then broke the windows and jumped in to search his home and take him into custody.
5. [Xianfeng County, Hubei Province] Six Practitioners, Including Mr. Yuan Xuejun, Taken into Custody
On November 26, 2008, six practitioners from Xianfeng County, including Mr. Yuan Xuejun, Ms. He Guangling, and Mr. Wu Zixi, were turned in to the police while they were telling others about Falun Dafa. The local police took them into custody.
6. [Zhangye City, Gansu Province] Mr. Guan Zhenlin, Mr. Ma Zhongwen and Another Practitioner Taken into Custody
On November 30, 2008, Mr. Guan Zhenlin, Mr. Ma Zhongwen, and a female practitioner were taken into custody by the Linze County police. The police searched the practitioners' homes on December 1.
7. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhou Xiaoyan Taken into Custody
Ms. Zhou Xiaoyan, 45, is an accountant in the Xinanlou area in the Hexi District, Tianjin. On the morning of November 29 she was taken into custody while distributing brochures. The police searched her home and confiscated a printer and printed materials. Ms. Zhou is possibly in a detention center.
8. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Peixun and Other Practitioners Taken into Custody
At around 4:00 p.m. on December 1, 2008, Director Yang of the Jinshan Police Station and half a dozen other officers unlawfully searched Mr. Zhang Peixun's home. His parents, in their 70s, were at home. The officer waited for several hours and took Mr. Zhang into custody when he returned. The police returned several times to harass Mr. Zhang's parents, confiscated Falun Dafa books, a bag of DVDs, and two cellular phones.
On December 2, Mr. Wang Jun and another practitioner with the surname Bao were taken to the Jinshan Police Station.
At noon on December 3, Mr. Su Congfu was taken into police custody.

9. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Ren Xiuyan and Elderly Ms. Yang Taken into Custody
Around November 28, officers from the Songyuan City Police Department broke into Ms. Ren Xiuyan's home in Sheli Township in Fuyu County. They took into custody Ms. Ren and elderly Ms. Yang. The police also confiscated Falun Dafa books. The two practitioners are being held at the Shanyou Detention Center in Songyuan City.
10. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qiu Shuqin Placed on Trial
At 10:00 a.m. on December 1, 2008, the Longfeng District Court in Daqing City convened a hearing for Ms. Qiu Shuqin, an employee at the Longfeng District Oil Refinery Factory in Daqing City. In the courtroom, Ms. Qiu told how domestic security officers and other officials in charge of her case force-fed her mustard oil in order to extract information from her. The judge was unable to comment and had to call off the hearing hastily.
Ms. Qiu was taken away from her home at around 10:00 a.m. on August 26. She was released on September 14. On the afternoon of September 24, she was again taken into custody. Her family was not told her whereabouts and was unable to send her clothes. Ms. Qiu was wearing slippers and did not have any clean clothes on when she was taken into custody. Her family was barely able to hand her a jacket before she was taken away.

On the morning of December 1, 2008, Ms. Yuan Guihua, who lives in the Changxing Residential Community in the Shichang Neighborhood Administration Office in Lushunkou Disstrict, was taken into custody.

12. [Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Shumei Faces Unlawful Trial at 8:00 a.m. on December 4, 2008 at Boli County Court
13. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhao Fuqiang and Ms. Ji Fangrong on Trial
Prior to the Beijing Olympics in August 2008, Ms. Ji Fangrong, approximately 60 years old, and Ms. Zhao Fuqiang, in his 40s, were taken into custody at the Tiexi Police Station in the Nanshan District. Mr. Zhao was viciously beaten. At 9:00 a.m. on November 27, the Nanshan District Court in Hegang City held hearings. An attorney from Beijing and a local attorney defended the two practitioners' innocence.

14. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Additional Information on Mr. Liu Xiyong in Prison
On October 10, 2008, Mr. Liu Xiyong was secretly sentenced to three years and six months of forced labor. He is being held in Nanguanling Prison in Dalian City. On November 30, the New Inmates Division, into which Mr. Liu was admitted, called his family to send in some clothes. When his family met with him, they noticed that he had become emaciated and could barely walk.
15. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Kong Qingchun and Ms. Duan Shumin Taken into Custody
At around 8:00 a.m. on December 2, 2008, Ms. Kong Qingchun and Ms. Duan Shumin from Dalianwan Town, Dalian City, were turned in to the police while they were telling others about Falun Dafa at the Dalianwan Light Rail Station. Officers from the Dafangshen Police Station took the two practitioners into custody, searched their homes, and confiscated Falun Dafa books.
At 5:50 p.m. Ms. Kong was taken to the Yaojia Detention Center. Ms. Duan was taken to the Jinnan Road Drug Rehabilitation Center. Neither passed the physical examination, and by 7:30 p.m., both Ms. Kong and Ms. Duan returned home.
16. [Tianjin] Mr. Zi Peizhi and Mr. Wang Yonghuai Taken into Custody by Numerous Police Officers
On December 1, 2008, Mr. Zi Peizhi and Mr. Wang Yonghuai were taken into custody by numerous police officers who broke into Room 401, Gate 4, Building 20, of the Xinjiayuan Residential Community, Shuangjie Town, Beichen District, Tianjin. The whereabouts of the two practitioners are unknown.
17. [Tianjin] Numerous Practitioners Taken into Custody
At around 4:00 p.m. on November 30, officers from the Dasi Town Police Station in Xiqing District, officers of the Xiqing District Domestic Security Division, and members of the 610 Office sent fully equipped armed police to take numerous practitioners into custody. At 6:30 p.m. that afternoon, the police besieged Mr. Pei Yi's home and took him into custody. Mr. Liu Huijiang, who lives in the Hexi District, Tianjin City, was also taken into custody.
According to eyewitnesses, none of the practitioners taken into custody were allowed to put on a winter jacket despite the low temperature. The police also wrapped practitioners' heads to blindfold them.
18. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Additional Information on Mr. Sun Li in Custody
In August 2008, Mr. Sun Li was taken into custody at the East Xianggang Road Police Station. He has been transferred to the Dashan Detention Center. His case has been put on file at the Shinan District Procuratorate for prosecution.
19. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Xiu'e Taken into Custody on the Afternoon of December 2; Her Home Unlawfully Searched

On December 3, Mr. Chen Zhida from Ju County in Shizhao City was turned in to the police while he was distributing brochures in Guozhuang Township. Officers from the Guozhuang Township Police Station took him into custody.

21. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Hu Shizheng Remains in Custody at a Brainwashing Center
22. [Huainan City, Anhui Province] Ms. Jin Lida Held at Huaibei Detention Center
On April 9, 2008, Ms. Jin Lida went her relatives' home in the Huaibei area. She was taken into custody for telling others about Falun Dafa. Ms. Jin's family has not been allowed to visit her at the Huaibei Detention Center. The court was to sentence her to prison in July. Ms. Jin is weak, and her father, in his 80s, suffers from severe mental distress. He often loses consciousness.
23. [Zhejiang Province] Ms. Yu Zhiying in Zhenhai Economic Development Zone Taken into Custody Again on November 17
24. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Li Xifu and Mr. Du Lin Taken into Custody
On November 19, 2008, Mr. Li Xifu and Mr. Du Lin in Taiyuan City accompanied Mr. Liu Wenyuan's family to the Chai Village Detention Center to demand his release. The officials rejected the practitioners' demand. When Mr. Li and Mr. Du then started telling the guards the facts about Falun Dafa, the guards besieged and beat them. Mr. Du has been released. Mr. Li remains in custody.
25. [Yuanling County, Hunan Province] Ms. Chen Lanzhi and Other Practitioners Placed on Trial
On April 25, Ms. Chen Lanzhi, Ms. Yin Jizhen and Ms. Xu Chuncui went to the Sandushui area in Yuanling County to tell others about Falun Dafa. The three practitioners were unlawfully placed on trial in October 17.

26. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Pan Haifeng Taken into Custody
At around 9:00 a.m. on December 2, 2008, Ms. Pan Haifeng went to the government building in Longganhu Administration District, Huanggang City, to distribute copies of an open letter that documented the persecution she has endured these past several years. Officers from the Longganhu Police Station took her into custody. Ms. Pan was taken to the Shili Detention Center in Huangmei County.

27. [Tongshan County, Hubei Province] Mr. Yang Daohai and Mr. Chen Deyong Taken into Custody
On November 26 Mr. Yang Daohai, who lives in Tongshan County, was taken into custody by the Ziyang Road Police Station in the Wuchang area for telling others the truth about the persecution. Mr. Yang is being detained at the Wujiashan Detention Center.
Mr. Chen Deyong, who had been taken into police custody numerous times and sentenced to forced labor, was taken into police custody while posting signs in downtown Tongshan County on December 1.

Mr. Wang Shoujun, 61, was "ilegally sentenced" to four years in prison in 2007. He is being held in Daqing Prison in Heilongjiang Province.
29. [Tanghai County, Hebei Province] Ms. Sun Cuiqing Faces Trial Again
The Tanghai County Court is scheduled to hold another hearing at 9:00 a.m. on December 8, on Ms. Sun Cuiqing's case. Ms. Sun Cuiqing from the Shilihai area in Tanghai County was placed on trial from 9:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on November 27, 2008. Her family had hired an attorney to defended her however, the judge has not reached a decision.

On December 2, 2008, Ms. Fan Yingzhen went to Puji County to tell others the facts about the persecution. On her way home, officers from the Puji Town Police Station took her into custody. Ms. Fan is being held in the Zhangqiu Detention Center. Her husband, who is not a practitioner, has also been taken into custody at the Puji Town Police Station.

Ms. Han Baoluan has been unlawfully sentenced to 15 months of forced labor. She has been taken to the Shandong Province No. 1 Women's Forced Labor Camp.

Two weeks ago officers from the Duchang Police Station in Changyi City forced their way into Ms. Gao Shuhua's home in Majia Village. The officers ransacked her home. A few days ago the officers searched Ms. Sun Yumei's home. They then searched Mr. Jiang Yong's store and took him into custody.

The police have extorted 2,000 yuan cash her her. Ms. Huo Xiangqin from Linghejie Village of the Xing'an Neighborhood Administration Office has also returned home after being taken into police custody.
