(Clearwisdom.net) Over four thousand people are detained at Hulan Prison in Harbing City, Heilongjiang Province. There is a "training team" at the prison that trains three to four hundred people every quarter.
Falun Gong practitioners in the training team are ordered to sign the three statements. If a practitioner refuses to sign, the guards and prisoners will fake a practitioner's signature to get their rewards. The practitioners that refuse to sign are made to stand for long periods of time, beaten and cursed at, deprived of sleep, and supervised 24 hours a day. They are also forced to watch videos that slander Dafa. Practitioner Huang refused to sign the three statements. He was not allowed to sleep for several days and was threatened. He has been kept in the training team for nine months. (Usually people only stay there for three months).
Han Defa, a practitioner from Daqing City, has been persecuted in the training team for nearly a year. Practitioner Jing lost control of his bowels and bladder. His legs became desensitized and paralyzed. He has still not been released. He used to work for the Hulan police. Now his salary has been taken away, his wife is detained in Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison, and his seven-year-old daughter is at home alone.
Hulan Prison broadcasts videos that slander Falun Dafa to incite hatred among prisoners and uses those prisoners to persecute practitioners.
Hulan Prison's training team forces practitioners to wear special prison uniforms marked with the words "Intense Discipline." During the Olympics, messages appeared on the prison blackboards that slandered Falun Gong to incite the hatred. The person who was in charge of the blackboard said the leaders of the prison were in charge of the messages. During that time, five people had to be present when a practitioner went to the restroom, brushed his teeth, or ate.
The prisoners sentenced to long jail terms are in charge of the training team. They beat people for their entertainment, including those that are ill.
A few months before the Olympics, officers at detention centers claimed that orders were given that any newly-caught practitioners would receive a jail sentence. The sanitation conditions there are extremely poor. Fleas are everywhere, and it's hard to find clean drinking water.
