(Clearwisdom.net) Not long after beginning to practice, they learned about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Ursula said, "We wanted to tell everyone around us at the very beginning that genocide was happening in China. Later, the extent of the persecution grew wider and wider. We wanted to help those who were being persecuted in China. Raising awareness among more people and gathering signatures for petitions was initially what we could do outside China. That was our most urgent wish."

From then on, they drove a car to carry information to many villages, big and small, throughout the mountains of Berne. For a long time they often went to Valais to distribute materials, a journey that takes four hours each time. Switzerland is mainly mountainous and Valais, the countryside of the Alps, is surrounded with rolling hills. Many tourists want to climb to the perilous peaks of the high mountains and enjoy the view. However, it is not easy to drive a car carrying more than one thousand newspapers up to the peaks or down to the valleys. Sometimes, Ursula and Ingeborg had to leave half of their newspapers at another location because the mountains were so high and the roads so narrow that their car could transport only so many at a time. Sometimes, they could only see a single family home after a very long drive, but they neither gave up nor stopped going forward.

Many people were willing to tell the news to others. The local radio station once invited them to discuss the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners during a live program. Many people in Valais got to learn about Falun Gong in this way.

People have also learned about Falun Gong from the various activities practitioners have organized. "Information Days," "Anti-Torture Exhibitions," and "Re-enactments of the CCP's Live Organ Harvesting Atrocities" have been held by Falun Gong practitioners in places from Davos in the east to Geneva in west, from Basel in the north to Locarno in the south, and from the international metropolis of Zurich to the rural town of Appenzelerland.

The World Economic Forum is held at the end of January each year in Davos, a ski resort. Starting in 2003, Falun Gong practitioners have come to Davos each year to set up information desks during the forum. The snow is a joy to the skiers, but to the practitioners who stand in the cold wind and distribute informational materials for a long time, snow means cold.

David, a practitioner, says, "People would say, 'It's very cold today." But you do not think about the cold when you are doing something that you think is very good. If you think what you are doing is very important, I think you won't really feel the cold, because we really do not have time to consider this. Many people come to our desks and express their thanks for our being here."

Ingeborg, 65, who is from the highlands of Berne said, "One day a lady said to me, 'The weather is really cold, but you have been standing here all this time.' I told her, 'Do you know, I would have been in jail or had my organs removed while I was still alive if I were in China now? So this cold means nothing to us. The situation in China is very, very bad. It is no problem for us to stand such cold--and we can go into the room for warmth if we do get cold. But when you are being brutally tortured, you have to endure it. Many firm Falun Gong practitioners in China are now being brutally tortured.'"

Practitioners hope that more people will come to learn about the truth from this activity. As far as a 57-year-old practitioner is concerned, "This is the fifth time for us to hold activities like this during the World Economic Forum. For us, it is a good opportunity to expose to the world the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong, especially the CCP's atrocities of harvesting organs from living practitioners. There are many statesmen, media personnel, and famous people in all fields that come to Davos from all over the world at this time. Therefore, we can explain the truth to many people. We hope to quickly stop the genocide that is happening in China. We hope to expose and stop the brutal crime of the CCP's organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners".
