How I Became a Dafa Practitioner
I am a 53-year-old practitioner from Pingxiang, in Jiangxi Province. In 2004, I developed a skin disease and had red swellings all over my body. I first sought treatment at a hospital, and then later with a well-known traditional Chinese medicine doctor. However, there was no improvement and I was in a painful state.
One day in May 2005, I experienced terrible discomfort and felt very frustrated. My eyesight was blurry and I could hardly breathe. I could not stand or sit down. I had red swellings all over my body and they were itchy and painful. Even my face and ears were swollen. I had no choice but to to call my daughter who lived out of town, and ask for her help. The next day, she came to my home and brought with her an amulet (1), a note that said "Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good," the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, some literature about Falun Gong, and a Falun Dafa exercise tape. I sincerely recited "Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good" and began to learn Falun Gong. I had this strong thought in my mind, "I want to be a practitioner!" Soon after, Teacher eliminated my sickness karma, and my entire family was in awe, and believed in Dafa.
Upon learning about the improvement in my health, my friends and relatives were amazed by Dafa. When they inquired about the practice I clarified the truth to them, gave them amulets, and said that people around the world know that "Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good." I also told them that heaven will disintegrate the Chinese Communist Party, that the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party is helping sentient beings to position themselves correctly, and I encouraged them to withdraw from the party's three organizations. Gradually, they quit the CCP, as well as its Youth League and the Young Pioneers.
Now that I am a practitioner, I realize the responsibilities that I have. I will not disappoint Teacher, I will not hesitate, and I will not give up. The spread of Dafa only happens once in a million years!

(1) Amulet - In China, practitioners sometimes clarify the truth by giving people something small to wear or cherish, bearing a few words reminding them of the goodness of Dafa.
A Miracle Happened and I Became a Dafa Practitioner

My name is Zhou Dao (pseudonym) and I am 56 years old. I began practicing Falun Gong in May 2007. A miracle that happened to me in 2006 made me understand deeply the kindness that was bestowed upon me, and it is a feeling that I'm unable to express with words.
Now with the Chinese New Year approaching, I would like to "heshi and kowtow" to Teacher, and express my gratitude toward Teacher through Clearwisdom, using honest and simple words, "Reverent Teacher, Happy Chinese New Year! I'm grateful that Teacher saved me from the brink of death and gave me the opportunity to practice in Dafa. I will be steadfast in cultivating in Dafa, follow Teacher and go to my original, true home, and try my best to do the three things well. Revered Teacher, please rest assured."
I would also like to share how I became a Dafa practitioner and encourage predestined people who are still fooled by the Chinese Communist Party to sincerely recite, "Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good." Please do not let this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity pass you by.
In December 2004 (prior to becoming a practitioner), I suddenly felt excruciating pain and fell down in the restroom. I was taken to the hospital and was diagnosed with disease of the liver and gallbladder. Although I spent more than 60,000 yuan for surgery, the doctor did not think that additional surgery would help. So I was released from the hospital.
In October 2006, the excruciating pain came back. I went to the hospital, and this time I was diagnosed with liver cancer. At the time, I was very thin and pale. I did not have much sensation, and could not eat or drink. My family was very sad. Others shunned me, as if they had seen a ghost. I was in such pain that I wanted to die. I struggled between living and dying. I tried to commit suicide several times, but failed, and I only ended up with more injuries.
One day, in late 2006, the pain became worse and I was vomiting. When I thought I could not bear it any longer, I suddenly remembered the words on a truth clarification postcard that said, "Please recite sincerely - Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good. These words will protect you when you are in danger." The postcard was given to my wife by her coworker, a Dafa practitioner.
My survival instinct propelled me to recite "Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good." As soon as I said that, I did not feel the pain and I stopped vomiting! It was truly a miracle! It was truly inconceivable! This experience dispelled all the lies about Falun Dafa that I had heard on television broadcasts. I could not help but believe that what the practitioners had shared about their cultivation experiences and what was said in the truth clarification materials are all true. In May 2007, I obtained a copy of Zhuan Falun from a practitioner.
Another miracle happened after six months of cultivation, in October of 2007. While watching the "9-Day Lecture in Guangzhou" video, I began feeling discomfort. The pain came back, and I could not get up. Thus, I recited in my heart, "Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good."
Twenty days later, my wife noticed a yellow bump, the size of an egg, on my chest, and urged me to go to the hospital to get rid of it. Instead, I decided to take a closer look. After I disrobed, I noticed that the yellow bump had turned green in the center and red in the surrounding area. I realized that benevolent Teacher was protecting me. I stuck a toothpick into the green center and pus and blood squirted out. I did not feel any pain at all. I calmly cleaned up the area and put a piece of gauze on it. Under Teacher's protection, I was able to pass another life and death test.
I am now healed and my body feels light.
