The Spectacular attracted many political dignitaries, artists, entertainers, and entrepreneurs, who gave high marks to the performance. The "Power of Awareness", a dance program that depicts the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party, moved many audience members. The main performers from this number answered two curtain calls, as the audience applauded for a very long time.
Suzanne Reuter, a famous Swedish actress, extolled the performance. |
Göran Lindblad, a member of the Swedish Parliament, member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and the Political Affairs Committee, and Chairman of Swedish Delegation for the European Union said he wanted to support the Divine Performing Arts by watching the show, and he openly condemned the Chinese consulate's attempt to interfere with the Spectacular in Europe.

Mr. Lindblad said, "I'm a diplomat, and I condemn the Chinese Communist totalitarian regime's interference with Divine Performing Arts. I'm not surprised by their actions, because I have personally experienced their [the Communist regime's] interference with activities that I have participated in. The embassy can do whatever, they are only following orders, but we should always--every time they do something like that--make it public and tell the press."
He praised the Spectacular, saying, "Really wonderful! The show is exquisite; bright colors and beautiful costumes. Although I'm not an art expert, I can still appreciate things that are pure and beautiful. Besides art itself, the show will tell people all over the world that there is another way of thinking among the Chinese that is different from the totalitarian government."

Finn Hultman, CEO of Interplan, a company that sells medical devices, watched the show with his wife. He felt Swedes would absolutely love the Spectacular because it's utterly perfect. Interplan is located close to Stockholm and was established in 1984.
"All of the programs are excellent and outstanding, beautiful and elegant. My favorites are the "Mongolian Bowl Dance", where the dancers balance the bowls on their heads, "Drummers of the Tang Court" and Victory Drums."
His wife said the performance was incomparable and she enjoyed all of the programs tremendously.
