Audience enjoying the show

Watching the show

Mr. Huang, who has been living in Australia for only a few months while visiting relatives here, was profoundly moved by the performance. He said, "Although I'm not an artist, I love the arts. I never expected the programs to be so stunning,--they are unlike anything I've ever seen before. I'm shaken to the core!"

Mr. Huang said he is "profoundly moved" by the Spectacular

Huang has his own business in Mainland China, and he said, "When I saw the Falun Gong programs, I felt as if I was struck by lightning, and I thought, 'Oh, so that's how it is!' I know that if Falun Gong is as the Communist Party describes, then it would not be what I am seeing right now. I believe what I see outside China is the real Falun Gong. It's the truth."

"I heard only one voice in China, and after a while that started to take its toll, although it was highly biased. Back then, I had no way of knowing any different views as I am doing today. It's wonderful to be able to learn what's really going on."

Kevin Crameri is the former mayor and now a member of the Penrith City Council. He brought his wife and two granddaughters to the Spectacular. He said the performance was truly wonderful and he was savoring every minute of it, as every second was supreme delight!

Crameri said, "The show is superb! It demonstrates a Chinese culture that is magnificent, colorful and full of life. I was savoring every minute of it. The performers are highly skilled, and every part was absolutely seamless. They came together perfectly. The choreography and costumes were ingenuous."

Crameri said he was upset when he saw programs depicting good people suffering under the Communist regime, and he was sorry the Spectacular was unable to visit China, "I wish we could always watch a first-class show like this; it's terrible that the Spectacular is not permitted to go to China. What the Falun Gong is saying, 'Truth Compassion Forbearance' is the right thing."

Renee Lumpkin from the Australian Red Cross said the performance and especially the songs renewed her hopes for a good future, while she recalled the chaos and tumult of our times. She gushed, "I love the colors, they are absolutely brilliant! My favorite programs were 'Descent of Celestial Kings' and 'Nymphs of the Sea'; oh, and the 'Drummers of the Tang Court' stole my heart as well!"

"The songs were so different from what you usually hear. They are very special. Nowadays, the world is so noisy and confusing; but their melodies instilled brand new hope in me."

Li Gang, a Ph.D. student said from China said, "People of my generation grew up watching the standardized red operas during the Cultural Revolution, and we were never given the opportunity to relish traditional culture. I think the performance today was wonderful. First of all, it's so pure that it's completely free of worldly filth, and second, it's simply gorgeous beyond words."

Ms. Li from Beijing attended the Spectacular with her friend Zhen, and they said the show taught them what authentic Chinese culture is.

Ms. Li said the Spectacular revealed classical Chinese culture, and Zhen concurred, saying, "Nowadays, many Chinese people don't know what our culture used to be, and they don't even realize what they've lost; I know the Divine Performing Arts is promoting traditional Chinese culture; it's very interesting, very good. The shows we saw before served political purposes, and it's just rare to be able to see something like this that completely transcends politics."

Zhen added, "The Spectacular will have a huge impact in the world, and people will get a better understanding of how the Chinese used to live; it's truly marvelous, it's terrific!"

Tony is originally from Thailand and is now the CEO at an Australian company. He thought the performance was exquisite, "All of the programs were excellent, but my favorite was 'Drummers of the Tang Court'; it accentuates masculine beauty characterized by tremendous strength and explosive power."

Tony said he understood the message conveyed by the Spectacular, "This show tells us evil will perish and many wonderful things will be revealed to us. Chinese culture is very gentle and graceful; it teaches us how to treat others, how to respect people and nature."

Steven, a music lover from Mainland China said, "The Spectacular gives me a sense of harmony and purity."

"In Mainland China, I rarely see shows like the Spectacular that present the essence of Chinese culture so well. The Divine Performing Arts mostly sings and dances, and everything just feels so wholesome and heartwarming without any revealing clothes or provocative lyrics."

Steven from Mainland China said, "The Divine Performing Arts is pure and amicable"

Steven pointed out the backdrop as one of the highlights of the show, and he was amazed at the three-dimensional LCD screen, "I've never seen a background like this in China. It matches the performances very well and has a lively feeling to it; it's like we are instantly transported to the place being depicted in the program."

"The singers were all top-class. Tenor Hong Ming stood pretty far from the microphone, but his voice still reached every corner of the house. His vibrato was so awesome! 'Drummers of the Tang Court' and 'Victory Drums' exuded masculine strength, while the Manchurian court ladies were very expressive with their walking and dancing, which reflects the gentility and tenderness of the female gender."

Steven earned the Piano Level 6 certification, and he admired the pianist who was part of the orchestra, "She did well especially with the minute details of the score; her playing had a lot of dimension to it, and that's great coming from a woman."

In the end, he concluded, "The Spectacular sends a message of compassion, and that helps us become better and more beautiful people."

Renowned writer Tao Luosong watched the third performance in Sydney given by the Divine Performing Arts, and she said, "The performers are youthful. The entire show was filled with breathtaking scenery on the backdrop as well as music that touches your soul."

Tao Luosong, renowned Chinese Australian writer at the Spectacular

When watching "The Risen Lotus", Tao Luosong was reminded of the time when she was imprisoned in Communist China, and she was moved to tears by the sacrifice endured by Falun Gong practitioners, "When I saw the three young women being shocked with electric batons in prison, I had a flashback of the 28 months during which I remained incarcerated by the Communist Party. I couldn't help but cry. The police was torturing those young women although they never did anything wrong. They were only trying to uphold their belief, and therefore I think this program is very touching."

Tao especially praised the singers for speaking the truth through their songs, "I just adore the singers because I totally agree with the idea of telling the truth through music. China in particular needs a dose of what's true. We should openly talk about everything that has happened after the Communist takeover in 1949. The singers were able to do it here, and I just cannot describe how much I appreciate that."
