(Clearwisdom.net) Since March 2008, policemen from Xiangfan City, Hubei Province have illegally arrested a number of Falun Gong practitioners including Jiang Donglin, Zhu Guangyuan, Li Jingping and Hu Gaoying.
Since March 3, personnel from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), from the Xiangfan City 610 Office, from the Domestic Security Team of the Xiangfan City Police Department, as well as officers from the police station and the Neighborhood Committee, have committed criminal acts against Falun Gong practitioners. They went to practitioners' residences to harass them, searched their homes, and arrested them. Zhongyuan Road Police Station officials even used master keys to open practitioners' doors when practitioners were not home, and stole computers, cash and other personal belongings.
Seeing that his computer, cash and other items were stolen, practitioner Zhu Guangyuan went to the Zhongyuan Road Police Station to report the theft. Instead of receiving justice, Mr. Zhu was detained there and later held in the Xiangfan City Detention Center.
Forty-six-year-old practitioner Ms. Li Jingping works at the Power Transmission Branch Division of the Xiangfan City Power Cooperation. At around 9:30 a.m. on March 17, she was arrested at work. Participating in the arrest were agents from the Xiangfan 610 Office, along with the corporation's general CCP Party Secretary Li Shengli and Construction Section Party Secretary Wang Zhiyong. Ms. Li was held in a brainwashing center.
At 8:00 p.m. on March 17, Renmin Road Police Station officers arrested practitioner Ms. Hu Gaoying at home. She is a former employee of the Cotton Spinning Factory. Her current whereabouts are unknown.
In the morning of March 12, Domestic Security Team head Deng Shaobo from the Xiangfan City Police Department led a number police officers, including some from the Qinghekou Police Station. They gathered an additional 20 to 30 people from Xiangfan City Power Station, as well as employees from Mr. Jiang Donglin's wife's employer, the former Cheqiao Factory. These persecutors threatened Mr. Jiang's wife, telling her that if did not open the door they would pry the door open and break in.
Jiang's wife had to open the door. The policemen barged into their residence and confiscated the TV satellite receiver and dish as well as other personal belongings.
At around 9:00 a.m. on March 18, Jiang Donglin was arrested while shopping at a vegetable market. Officers from the Qinghe Police Station were involved. He was later held at the Xiangfan City Detention Center.
