(Clearwisdom.net) On April 26 and 27, Divine Performing Arts held several shows of the Chinese Spectacular at Bell Performing Arts Center in Vancouver. The local art community highly praised the performances.
The show made a deep impression on Dan Petrescu, a movie producer, and his wife Lara. Dan said it was the first time he had ever seen a show that displayed profound Chinese culture.

Dan and Lara have been in the movie business for ten years. Lara liked the Mongolian dance the best. She also liked the colorful costumes. "It is important for Canada to combine the Eastern and Western cultures," she said.
Dan is one-quarter Chinese. "Many Westerners don't understand other cultures. I learned a lot from this show. It was the first time we have seen a show with profound Chinese culture," he said.
George, a movie producer, said: "This is one of the best shows I have ever seen. The Soprano opened everybody's heart. It was absolutely great. I cried. The dances were great too."

Simon James, a local native artist, was deeply touched by the show. He said: "This show is great. All the singers were excellent. Their singing taught me a lot about what is happening in China. I believe this show restores the lost culture."

Robert McMurra, a local artist, and his wife watched the show. As a painter, Robert was amazed by the use of color in the show.

Robert said the use of color fully expressed the performers' emotions. "The accurate combination of warm and cool colors makes the show excellent," he said.
Mrs. McMurra liked the costumes and the background scene design. "The dance movements were unique. We never saw dances like that. The performers are outstanding, incredibly beautiful," she said, "It is hard to believe that the arts company can create a new show every year."
