(Clearwisdom.net) After Divine Performing Arts concluded its Chinese Spectacular performance in Jubilee Auditorium, Edmonton, Canada, many spectators were so touched that they were reluctant to leave. English teacher Gerard Liston was one of them. Mr. Liston came to see the performance at the invitation of a friend. He said he liked it very much and that the show had transported him to "an ancient and graceful China."

He said he liked every program in the show and that the choreography was "world class." From the performance, he learned about ancient Chinese history and more about China itself. In particular, that its culture has incorporated different cultures from other ethnicities, such as reflected in the "Mongolian Bowl Dance," "Chopstick Zest," and "Ladies of the Manchu Court." He said it was very interesting and that it reminded him of his Irish traditional culture.
Reflecting on Chinese traditional life and principles, he said that ancient Chinese wisdom had benefited Canada and other countries.
Mr. Liston said he understood the lyrics from the English translations on the backdrop, "I am a Christian, and I agree with the messages in the songs. I think it is amazing that our belief is so similar to 'Truth-Compassion-Tolerance.'"
As an English teacher, he described the performance using the adjectives, "Spectacular, divine, hopeful, enjoyable, and exquisite."
Regarding the Chinese embassy's attempt to interfere with the performance, Mr. Liston said that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s deed was unbelievably crass. He said, "I believe that those who saw the Spectacular liked it very much. The CCP regime does not have any reason or power to interfere with performances in other countries."
