(Clearwisdom.net) On May 10, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners from Vancouver held a parade in Coquitlam to celebrate the 9th World Falun Dafa Day. The Divine Land Marching Band, Celestial Maidens, waist drum troupe, exercise demonstration and float attracted many people.

On May 11, practitioners held a photo exhibition at Chinatown, Vancouver. They also demonstrated the exercises. In the afternoon, practitioners held a rally in Chinatown. They performed dances, and singing.
Ms. Wei learned the truth of Falun Gong from the newspaper the Epoch Times in May 2003. She was sick at that time, so she wanted to try Falun Gong. One month later, her disease was healed. Her husband also noticed the changes in her.
Ms. Wei said she read Zhuan Falun and learned the principles of cultivating. She lives according to "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," and always tries to look inward when conflicts happen.
Ms. Wei said more and more people are learning about Falun Gong. Her husband changed his attitude too. He reads the Epoch Times and watches NTDTV. He realized how evil the communist party is and changed his views of a lot of things.
Ms. Wang just came to Canada from Mainland China, where she was badly tortured. She said: "The persecution of Falun Gong is still severe in China. Now the Chinese government uses the Olympics as an excuse to arrest practitioners."
Ms. Ning Fan from Guangdong said that the communist party sends spies to Canada, trying to watch practitioners and interfere with their activities. She said she went back to China in 2001. The government officials tapped her phone and threatened her family, trying to make her quit practicing Falun Gong.
Ms. Ning Fan said the communist party uses many methods to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, but practitioners don't give in.
Ms. Wang said many practitioners in China have never seen Master Li, but they believe in him and are grateful to him.
Both Ning Fan and Ms. Wang felt fortunate to be Falun Gong practitioners. Facing the persecution, they have solid belief in the Fa.
