In order to celebrate this special day, Falun Gong practitioners in the capital of Ukraine held waist drum practice sessions on weekends for over a month. They wanted to perform well in order for more people to have an opportunity to understand Falun Dafa.
During the event, passers-by were drawn by the waist drum team, the exercise demonstration, and the practitioners making folded paper lotus flowers.
Many people signed a petition to oppose the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong
During the Falun Dafa Day activities in the city of Donetsk, a young man came up and said that he had seen the news on TV several times about the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. He said he felt extremely sad when he saw that Falun Gong practitioners in China have suffered such cruel persecution. Then he signed his name against the persecution.
