Huazi Prison in Liaoning Province has followed the Chinese Communist Party's instructions and cruelly persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. I was once detained in Huazi Prison, and I have heard and seen many practitioners who have been persecuted there. The following accounts are just a few of the Falun Gong practitioners who were persecuted in that prison over the last nine years.
Practitioners Lian Ping, 28 years old, from Dandong City, Liaoning Province, and Fan Xuejun, 33 years old, from Shenyang Province, both died in 2004 as a result of chronic physical and mental torture, Lian on July 10 and Fan September 9. The police claimed that they jumped into a cement plant and committed suicide. Since then, no one has dared to talk about this incident. Those who do know, clearly weren't being forthcoming with the truth. (According to reliable sources, their bodies were autopsied. In order to prevent the news from leaking out, the prison didn't allow other Falun Gong practitioners to meet with their families).
Mr. Ren Xiaobei, 40 years old, a practitioner from the Administration for Industry and Commerce in Huludao City, was tortured relentlessly by prison guards during his several years in Huazi Prison. They used extremely cruel and despicable means to torture him. In May or June of 2004, the prison guards ordered two criminals from Shenyang City and Dalian City to put Mr. Ren in a solitary confinement cell, just because he insisted on practicing Falun Gong. They handcuffed his hands and legs behind his back, and put him on his belly on the ground. They tortured him like this for seven days, and force-fed him violently when he went on a hunger strike. The handcuffs cut into his flesh, causing excessive bleeding. He became numb and was unable to walk. Mr. Ren finally suffered a mental breakdown after he was twice tortured in this manner. He was then taken to the hospital directly, lest other people learn the truth. On December 19, 2007, Mr. Ren was transferred to Nangualing Prison in Dalian City, where he is still being detained.
Mr. Qu Lianxi, more than 50 years old, a practitioner from the Post Office of Dalian City, went on a hunger strike to protest his detention in 2003. The prison guards tied him to a bed and brutally force-fed him. He was deprived of sleep for 24 hours. In 2004, Mr. Qu was forced to do hard labor. Because he didn't report to his supervisor, the prison guards openly ordered several criminals to beat him.
Mr. Tian Xiaofei, about 50 years old, a practitioner from Benxi City, Liaoning Province, went on a hunger strike for six months to protest his detention in 2000. During this period of time, the prison guards repeatedly force-fed him and beat him violently. In 2004, Mr. Tian went on a hunger strike again to protest his being forced to do hard labor. The prison guards ordered several prisoners to handcuff and shackle him. He was then carried to the field and put on the burning metallic ore. This torture lasted for a long time.
Mr. Feng Wenzhong, over 50, is a practitioner from Tieling City, Liaoning Province. Because he refused to do hard labor, the prison guards instigated prisoners to beat him. Since then (2004), he has suffered from incontinence and chest pain.
