counties in 11 provinces. In this report, 37 practitioners were subjected to
brutal mistreatment during their detention and at least 66 practitioners were
illegally arrested.
1. [Yi County, Liaoning Province] Several Falun Gong Practitioners Recently
Arrested
On the morning of June 3, Mr. Tian Shaochun from Yi County was arrested by about eight police officers from the Shangyuan Police Station of Beipiao City.
On the afternoon of June 3, Mr. Li Shijun from Yi County was arrested by police from the State Security Division and the Chengguan Police Station of Yi County. He is being held in the No. 2 Detention Center of Jinzhou City. The police confiscated three cell phones, two MP4 players, two monitors, and Falun Dafa books.
Mr. Liu Chengxian from Yi County is in the No. 2 Detention Center of Jinzhou City. The police claimed that he would be released only after he pays ten thousand yuan.
2. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Zhou Jin Unlawfully Held in the Detention Center
Ms. Zhou Jin is 28 years old and currently a student majoring in English at the Adolescent Educational College of Yunnan University. On April 22, Ms. Zhou was arrested by a plainclothes police officer at her store. The police officers took Ms. Zhou when they failed to find her mother, Ms. Long Huaxian. Ms. Zhou is being held in the Guandu District Detention Center in Kunming City. The police also confiscated Ms. Zhou Jin's computer, printer, and other items. Ms. Long Xuaxian has been forced to leave home to avoid being arrested.

On May 28, Ms. Wang Fuchan, from Shanxi Province, currently living in Beijing City, was arrested. Ms. Wang is being held in the Dongcheng District in the Shuangqigan area of Beijing, phone number 86-10-84081748. On the same day, many other practitioners were also arrested.
5. [Shanhaiguan District, Hebei Province] Mr. Wei Danquan Currently Held in the No. 1 Detention Center of Qinhuangdao City
At 8:00 a.m. on May 26, Mr. Wei Danquan was arrested at his workplace by about nine police officers. He is now in the No. 1 Detention Center in Qinhuangdao City.
On April 30, 2004, six practitioners, including Mr. Wei Danquan, were arrested. In October 2004, the local court made the judgment to sentence four practitioners to suspended imprisonment and one to three years of imprisonment. They have now been released. At that time, Mr. Wei Danquan was bedridden due to vomiting blood while he was suffering from tuberculosis. The court had to manage his case differently. After over four years, the police system again handed in his case to the local court on May 13, 2008. On May 26, an arrest warrant was issued.
6. [Shahe City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xu Meirong, Ms. Li Sufang, and Ms. Han Xianshu Unlawfully Held in the Shijiazhuang City Women's Prison
Practitioners from Shahe City--Ms. Xu Meirong, Ms. Li Sufang, and Ms. Han Xianshu--were arrested on May 1, 2007, while they were clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa in Zhaodian Town, Wu'an City. They were sentenced to five years of custody after the local court tried them. They are now in the Shijiazhuang City Women's Prison.

7. [Penglai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wu Meilan ArrestedMs. Wu Meilan from Gusidian Town in Pengliao City was arrested at her home. She is being held in the Penglai City Detention Center and subjected to mistreatment.

Mr. Zhao Fugui from the Mengtougou District in Beijing was arrested on May 18. He is being held in the Shijiangshan City Detention Center. Mr. Zhao has been arrested many times.

12. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Five Practitioners, Including Ms. Tian Yuxiu, Unlawfully Held
On the morning of June 1, over ten practitioners, including Ms. Tian Yuxiu, were illegally arrested by police from the Zhongjiang County State Security Division of Deyang City. The police colluded with local thugs to arrest the practitioners while they were holding group practice. After being interrogated, Ms. Tian and four other practitioners were taken into custody in Zhongjiang County.
13. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Fu Yongyan Arrested
On the morning of June 3, Ms. Fu Yongyan, who works at the Xishimen Iron Ore Mine in Wu'an/Hantan City, was arrested by officials with the Political and Security Division of the Xishimen Iron Ore Mine Police Station. They also ransacked her home. Her three-year-old son now has no one to take care of him. At 7:00 a.m. on June 4, Ms. Fu was taken to the No. 1 Detention Center of Handan City.

On June 3, Ms. Li Yindi and her husband, Mr. Ma Cunzhuang, who work at the Cangzhou Machine Tool Group, were arrested. At a little past 1:00 p.m. about six officers from the Yunhe District State Security Division in Cangzhou City broke into their home. They confiscated a computer, truth-clarification materials, and other items. On the afternoon of June 4, Mr. Ma was bailed out by the Cangzhou Machine Tool Group. Ms. Li is still in custody.
15. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yang Meifang and Others Mistreated by 610 Office Personnel
Since June 1, the 610 Office of Xiangyang County has colluded with police from the Chengguan District Police Station and Jiangdong District Police Station to mistreat local practitioners. The police are mostly in plainclothes. Without going through any legal procedures, they ransack practitioners' homes. They also harass and monitor practitioners and tap into their phones.
When about eight plainclothes police officers ransacked Ms. Yang Meifang's home, she happened to be out. The police threatened her husband to turn in his wife, claiming that they would stop his salary and his children's salary if he refused. Ms. Yang's husband eventually turned her in to the police station. She is being held in the Xiangyang County Detention Center.

Since May of this year, the Zhuolu County 610 Office has been intensifying the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, claiming it is necessary to maintain social stability for the Olympics.
On May 29, the Political and Security Division of the Zhuolu County Police Department, the Cheng Town Police Station, the Cheng Town 610 Office, and the CCP Residential Committee ransacked the home of Ms. Li Guirong. They also arrested Ms. Li, who is now in the Zhangjiakou City Detention Center. Ms. Li's husband was arrested at the same time. He is in the Zhuolu County Detention Center.
On May 29, the same group of people also broke into and ransacked Ms. Lan Yongmei's home. Three female police officers held Ms. Lan down while confiscating all of her Falun Dafa books.
On June 1, practitioners Ms. Li Yuling and Ms. Guo Yumei were arrested by police from the Zhangjiabao District Police Station. They were taken to the Zhuolu County Political and Security Division. The chief of the division, Dong Fei (male), extorted three thousand yuan in cash from these practitioners' families.
17. [Qian'an City, Hebei Province] Many Practitioners' Homes, Including Mr. Liang Xuesheng, Ransacked
On May 25, police ransacked the home of Mr. Liang Xuesheng, a physician about 40 years old, from Xiaguanying Village, Qian'an City. Mr. Liang was arrested. The police also confiscated a satellite dish, Falun Dafa books, and Mr. Liang's personal property. Mr. Liang is being held in the Qian'an City Detention Center.
Recently, the homes of many practitioners have been ransacked, including the homes of Mr. Yang Zhanmin and his wife, Mr. Sun Yongsheng, Ms. Li Xiuhua, Ms. Zhang Huiqin, Mr. Cai Youwang, Ms. Liang Xiulan, Mr. Shao Lianrong, Ms. Zhang Liqin, and Ms. Bai Xueshuang. Mr. Yang Zhanmin's wife, Ms. Zhang Huiqin, and Ms. Bai Xueshuang have been released. The other seven practitioners are still being held in the Qian'an City Detention Brainwashing Center.
Other practitioners that have been arrested by Qian'an City Detention Center personnel are Mr. Li Yankui, Mr. Zhao Minghua, Ms. Cui Qingru, Mr. Li Qingsong, Mr. Zhang Hewen, etc.
On May 27, the younger sister of Mr. Li Qingsong, Ms. Li Hongmei, went to the detention center to deliver some clothing for Mr. Li Qingsong. She was arrested by Qian'an City State Security Division officers and taken to a brainwashing center.

23. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Zhu Xiansheng Facing Lawsuit
At about 10:20 p.m. on May 6, a group from the 610 Office and the National Safety Bureau of Meizhou City and Mei County forcibly arrested Mr. Zhu Xiansheng from the No. 2 Division of Fugui Neighborhood in Mei County, Huaqiaocheng City.
Mr. Zhu is currently being held unlawfully and mistreated in Fuda Detention Center. He is facing an unlawful lawsuit at the Mei County Procuratorate, which has issued a warrant for his arrest.
24. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Cui Yaning Secretly Sentenced to Seven Years of CustodyMs. Cui Yaning was arrested by the Guta District Police Department of Jinzhou City on February 25 and held in the No. 1 Detention Center of Jinzhou City. Subsequently, an unlawful warrant of arrest was issued. Now it is clear that Ms. Cui Yaning was taken to a secret and unlawful trial last week and sentenced to seven years of custody. Reportedly, Ms. Cui Yaning objects to the ruling and is getting ready to appeal.
25. [Beijing] Ms. Lian Shuyin Held in the Detention Center
On the afternoon of May 15, officers with the Shunyi District State Security Division of Beijing ransacked the home of Ms. Lian Shuyin, who lives in Houshayu Village, Houshayu Town, Shunyi City. They later arrested her. She has been held in a detention center since then.
26. [Hunan Province] Police from Pingjiang County Arrest Many Practitioners Using the Beijing Olympics as an Excuse
On June 3, the Olympic Torch passed by Pingjiang County. Several days prior to the event, police officers from Pingjiang County followed, monitored, harassed, and arrested practitioners. By June 3, many practitioners had been arrested, including Mr. Zhan Chunlong, Ms. Zhou Mei, Mr. Zou Huisong, Mr. Zhu Xixian, Mr. Dai Man, and Mr. Huang Bai.
27. [Beipiao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Tian Shaochun Arrested Again
On the morning of June 3, four people, including Sun Jiawei, the chief of the Shangyuan Town Police Station, broke into the home of Mr. Tian Shaochun and confiscated a large iron crucible, a high-frequency board, and several DVDs. They also arrested Mr. Tian. That afternoon, the police took Mr. Tian's wife, Ms. Song Li, to the police station and interrogated her. She was later released. Mr. Tian was taken into the Beipiao County Detention Center on the evening of June 3. He has been repeatedly subjected to persecution. Even his parents have been unlawfully held.

28. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhang Changqin Taken to a Brainwashing CenterOn April 25, Ms. Zhang Changqin was arrested. After she was unlawfully held for one month, she was then transferred to the brainwashing center in the Xinyu Hotel in Hefei City.
29. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Police from Dongxing District Police Station Arrest a Practitioner on April 23
On the night of April 23, police officer Liu Gang, male, from the Dongxing District Police Station in Benxi City arrested a male practitioner in his 40s. Liu also confiscated the practitioner's DVD player and satellite dish. The practitioner was held overnight at the police station and then taken into a detention center the following day.

[Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Sanying ArrestedOn the afternoon of June 3, Ms. Wang Sanying from the Taihuayuan Neighborhood in Xinhua District, Shijiazhuang City, was arrested, and her home was ransacked. She is currently held in a brainwashing center located at the Agricultural Science Institute of Hebei Province.
31. [Tianjin] Six Practitioners Including Ms. Wei Lianhua Facing an Unlawful Trial
Practitioners from Wuqing District of Tianjin City were reported to the police on the evening of January 30 while they were distributing truth-clarification materials in Qiaojiao Village, Majiadian Township in the Baodi District, Tianjin City. They were subsequently taken to and held in the Baodi District Detention Center. They are Ms. Wei Lianhua, Ms. Qin Yueli, Ms. Zhang Qiuyan, Ms. Sun Boyun, Ms. Yu Xiuping, and Mr. Gong Jingwang. Baodi District Court is currently conspiring to try these six practitioners on June 26.
32. [Guang'an City, Sichuan Province] Supplementary Information on the Arrest of Ms. Chen Youqing
Ms. Chen Youqing, in her 30s, is a resident at the Mechanic and Electric Plant in Linshui County. Around May 20, she gave a truth-clarification DVD disc to someone and was subsequently reported to the local State Security Division. On May 24, the Linshui County 610 Office colluded with the State Security Division to break into Ms. Chen's home and arrest her. Her home was ransacked. They confiscated over two thousand yuan in cash. Ms. Chen is being held in the Linshui County Detention Center.

On the evening of June 22, 2007, a group of about seven police officers from the Macheng City State Security Division broke into the home of Ms. Ding Hongxia and arrested her husband, Mr. Liang Xia. They confiscated a large amount of money and property. Mr. Liang is still being held.
On the afternoon of June 2, 2008, several police officers from the Nanhu District Police Station in Macheng City went to the home of Ms. Ding Hongxia's mother-in-law and interrogated her parents regarding her whereabouts. Her parents were frightened. The police also went to Ms. Ding Hongxia's younger sister's workplace in an attempt to find out Ms. Ding's whereabouts.
At present, Ms. Ding has had to leave home to avoid being arrested. Ms. Ding Hongxia's daughter is not even five years old, and now she has to be taken care of by her elderly grandparents.
34. [Shanghai] Supplementary Information on Ms. Zhang Juying's ArrestMs. Zhang Juying from the Putuo District in Shanghai was arrested by Putuo District 610 Office agents while she was on her way to work on May 26. Later, her home was ransacked, and Falun Dafa materials were confiscated.
35. [Jilin Province] Supplementary Information on the Arrests of Practitioners from Dongfeng County
On May 17, police from the Dongfeng County arrested seven practitioners. At present, Mr. Wu Chunfeng and Mr. Zhao Yingkai's wife have been released. The whereabouts of Mr. Tang Shujie from Yulin Village is not known. The other four practitioners have been sentenced to forced labor: Mr. Zhao Yingkai to one year and six months; Mr. Wang Yonghe, Ms. Jia Xiulou, and Ms. Wang Xiuxia each to one year and three months.
36. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioners Including Ms. Sun Lixiang and Mr. Liu Jinglu Arrested
On the night of June 2, Ms. Sun Lixiang and her husband, Mr. Liu Jinglu, from Mishan City went out and did not return home. The following morning, the police suddenly broke into their home and confiscated a great deal of private property. Only their two children, an elder sister and younger brother, are left at home.

On the morning of May 26, four police officers from the Damoujia Police Station of Gaomi City broke into the home of Mr. Zhan Guangxu, who is 63 years old. Mr. Zhan happened to be absent from home. The police ransacked his home, confiscated a photo of the founder of Falun Dafa, and Fa scriptures. The police bumped into Mr. Zhan on the way back to the police station and arrested him. Mr. Zhan is being held in the Gaomi City Detention Center.
38. [Chongzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yang Dehua and Ms. Huang Ying ArrestedOn the afternoon of May 21, Mr. Yang Dehua and another practitioner with the surname of Wang, who work at the Chongzhou City Glass Factory, went to Caijianian District to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to some elementary school students and persuade them to do the "Three Withdrawals" (withdraw from th eYoung Pioneers, the Youth League, and the CCP itself). They were reported to the police and subsequently. The police took them to the Chengdong District Police Station and later ransacked Mr. Yang Dehua's home. The practitioner with the surname of Wang was released the same day, while Mr. Yang has been held in the Chengdong District Police Station ever since.
Ms. Huang Ying, who lived in the Sixth Group of Wuqiao Village, Guansheng Town, Chongzhou City, was arrested at her rental house by police from the Chengdong District Police Station on the night of May 9. She is held in the Chongzhou City Detention Center. Her rental house was ransacked. Her husband was unlawfully sentenced to imprisonment two and a half years ago and is currently in Deyang Prison. Only her child, who is still attending school, is left at home.

Ms. Zheng Guiying, in her 60s, is a retired from the Shijiazhuang City Automobile Manufacturing Factory. On the morning of June 3, about five police officers from the Chanfeng Police Station of the Shijiazhuang City Police Department suddenly broke into and ransacked her home. They confiscated a computer and some Falun Dafa books as well as truth-clarification materials. Ms. Zheng was forcibly taken into the police station.

43. [Heilongjiang Province] Two Practitioners from the Mudanjiang City Farm 8510 Arrested
At a little past 3:00 p.m. on June 4, Mr. Wang Zhi from the 8510 Farm of the Mudanjiang City Farming Management Bureau was arrested by police from the Jidong County State Security Division. At a little past 4:00 p.m., Ms. Wang Xiuzhen was also arrested. The police ransacked these two practitioners' homes.
44. [Jin City, Hunan Province] Practitioners Including Ms. Liu Siying and Ms. Liu Fuying Arrested
At a little past 1:00 p.m., on May 28, practitioners Ms. Liu Siying, Ms. Liu Fuying, and Mr. Wang Xiantao were studying the Fa together at Ms. Liu Siying's home when they were reported to the police by the guard. About 20 police officers broke into the home of Ms. Liu Siying and her husband, Mr. Wang Xiantao, and arrested the three practitioners. The practitioners were held in the Political and Security Division of the Jin City Police Department overnight before they were taken to the Jin City Detention Center.
45. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Jiasheng, Ms. Tang Jianyin, and Mr. Li Dafu and His Wife Arrested
At noon of June 3, several police officers including Liu Kaihua from the Yunhe District State Security Division of Cangzhou City arrested Mr. Li Dafu and his wife, who was working at the Mechanical Platform Factory of Cangzhou City. The police also ransacked their home. Mr. Li managed to get away, but his wife is still being held.
On June 4, the same group of police officers arrested practitioners Mr. Wang Jiasheng and his wife, Ms. Tang Jianying. They also confiscated their computer, printer, and other items. Mr. Wang and Ms. Tang are being held at the Yunhe District Police Department of Cangzhou City.

On February 27, officers with the 610 Office and Police Department of Dehui City colluded with the Changchun City Police Department to arrest over ten practitioners, including Mr. Da Jun, in Dehui City. The arrested practitioners were taken to the Dehui City Detention Center.
At 10:00 a.m. on March 6, police from the Dehui City Police Department broke into the Chalukou Town No. 8 Middle School and arrested Mr. Chen Xuedong. That afternoon, Mr. Gao Hui from the Shidaojie District of Dehui City was also arrested.

over three months.
