(Clearwisdom.net) On July 20, hundreds of Falun Gong practitioners formed a "A Great Wall of Courage" on Main Street in Flushing, New York to expose the brutality of the persecution against Falun Gong in China.
Yi Rong, a spokesperson for Falun Gong practitioners, said: "The Chinese Communist Party has been persecuting Falun Gong for nine years. In the last two months, they even extended the persecution to the U.S. and other places. They assaulted and attacked Falun Gong practitioners in New York. Practitioners have persisted in clarifying the truth, and recently more and more people have stepped out to support practitioners. These people stopped the bullies when they cursed at practitioners or tried to damage practitioners' booths. They also told the bullies that the Communist Party is not welcome in Flushing. Some people gave water and flowers to practitioners."
Clarifying the truth in Flushing
Yi Rong said that the persecution did not make practitioners give in. The policemen have arrested a dozen people who attacked practitioners. "We will bring them to justice," Yi Rong said.
Falun Gong practitioners formed a "Great Wall of Courage" in Flushing. They passed out truth-clarifying materials, and held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Consulate at night.
Mr. Hu Ping came to the U.S.A. from Shanghai four years ago. He said: "I knew about the persecution when I was in China. Since May 17, I have seen a lot of attacks against Falun Gong practitioners directed by the Communist Party in Flushing. You can imagine how severe the persecution is in China when you see how crazy they act in this free land."
Mr. Hu said: "I also saw Falun Gong practitioners' peacefulness. They never cursed back or attacked back. I admire them."
He added, "I am a Christian. In China, Christians are also being persecuted, but Christians did not stand up for their rights as Falun Gong practitioners are doing. So I admire Falun Gong. They are the only group who refuses to give in to the communists and they have become stronger and stronger during the persecution."
He repeated twice: "Falun Gong is the hope of China."
