(Clearwisdom.net) On July 15, 1994, Teacher came to Chenzhou to teach the practice. This day is "Falun Dafa Day" in Chenzhou City, Hunan Province. It has been 14 years since practitioners in Chenzhou began assisting Teacher to rectify the Fa. On this special day, we miss our revered Teacher even more.
To celebrate this day, I would like to share my cultivation experience with my fellow practitioners. Please point out anything inappropriate.
1. Let Go of Human Notions and Hurry Up to Save Sentient Beings
In the beginning I was not a good practitioner. I often fell asleep when I studied Zhuan Falun after group exercise and sending righteous thoughts at 6 a.m. I came up with the excuse, "Forget it, I should go to sleep, otherwise I will fall asleep when I send righteous thoughts at midnight." I often woke up two hours later and regretted that I didn't overcome the interference and gave in to the human notion that I needed a certain amount of sleep every day to restore my energy. It was, in fact, the result of not wanting to be tired and the attachment of comfort. Teacher has already told us to happily accept suffering.
To change this, after group practice and sending righteous thoughts early in the morning, I went out to clarify the truth of the persecution and to tell people to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations.
Last year, I went to my son's school to distribute truth clarification materials. A teacher took all my materials to the 610 Office and told my son, "Your mother distributed this. Next time this happens, I will take you to the police." I wasn't dissuaded. A few days later, I put a truth clarification flyer in an envelope and wrote the teacher's name on it. I gave it to a student who was on his way to school to take to the teacher. The outcome was great. The teacher got it and read it carefully twice while in class. The students saw their teacher reading the Falun Gong material and said, "We can read the Falun Gong materials since our teacher did it, too." They used to take the materials I gave them directly to their teacher without looking at them. As of today, the principal, vice-principal, and several teachers at this school have quit the CCP. Later I came across the student who helped me hand the material to her teacher. I told her the truth about Falun Dafa and she gladly quit the Young Pioneers.
I clarified the truth to all my relatives because they have great predestined relationships with me. Now most of them have quit the CCP. My immediate family members all practice Falun Gong. We clarified the truth to our neighbors and now their attitudes toward Dafa have changed.
2. Eliminating the Attachment of Fear and Human Notions and Helping Practitioners Step Forward to Clarify the Truth
In 2000, several practitioners and I established an information production site. Later, the police arrested practitioners A and B and, through torturing them, the police found out about me. The police arrested me, but I managed to return home safely. After this incident, I started to worry that the police might see me when I was with other practitioners or was distributing truth-clarification materials. My human notions got to me. I studied the Fa and solved this problem. Teacher said in Essentials for Further Advancement II: "Just by having your heart unaffected you will be able to handle all situations." In "Touring North America to Teach the Fa," Teacher said, "You need to know that clarifying the truth is extremely important for Dafa disciples. " and "So a Dafa disciple's responsibilities aren't for the sake of personal Consummation, but to save sentient beings while validating the Fa--that is a Dafa disciple's historic mission, and that is why Dafa disciples are truly magnificent." Knowing the importance of saving people, I grasped every opportunity I had to clarify the truth--when buying something, when with a group of people, or sitting on public transportation.
I was at a bus station one time and got on different buses to distribute truth clarification materials. Three or four buses later, I started to get nervous and wished I had another practitioner with me. When I hesitated, a person in the bus yelled, "What are you giving out?" "Safety amulets(1)," I answered. "I want one," said the passenger. I realized Teacher was giving me a hint and was protecting me. I finished giving out truth-clarification materials on all of the buses in the station that day. I truly experienced what Teacher said, "Cultivation depends on one's own efforts, while the transformation of gong is done by one's master." Besides doing truth-clarification, we must also pay attention to studying the Fa and sending righteous thoughts. I sometimes had little time to study the Fa after making and distributing materials. This must be corrected since the mind is a container and the more Fa that it contains, the faster the improvements will be.
Besides doing the three things, I often study the Fa and share my experiences with other practitioners since it is a way to improve as one body.
I noticed that several practitioners hardly went out at all to clarify the truth. I asked one of them to help me send righteous thoughts while I clarified the truth. This practitioner walked behind me and saw how I clarified the truth during the day in public places and how I told people to quit the CCP. Sometimes people even spontaneously asked for materials. After a while, this practitioner told me that he thought I was good at clarifying the truth. I told him, "'Cultivation depends on one's own efforts, while the transformation of gong is done by one's master.' If you wish to clarify the truth, Teacher will help you. If you sincerely want to save people, the evil will fear you. You can ask Teacher to help you so people with predestined relationships will see you and the evil won't see anything." He promised to catch up in order to save people in the future.

(1) Amulets - In China, practitioners sometimes clarify the truth by giving people something small to wear or cherish, bearing a few words reminding them of the goodness of Dafa.
