(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 37 cities or counties in 13 provinces. In this report, 39 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 54 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Three Falun Dafa Practitioners Including Mr. Wang Jiasheng on a Hunger Strike at Detention Center to Protest Persecution
Practitioners Mr. Wang Jiasheng and Ms. Tang Jianying were arrested by the Yunhe Police Department on June 4. The police confiscated computers and printers from their homes. They were taken to the Yunhe Police Department. According to their families, the two practitioners have been transferred to the Cangzhou City Detention Center. At present, the Cangzhou City Detention Center is detaining three practitioners, Mr. Wang Jiasheng, Ms. Tang Jianing and Ms. Wang Jinzhi. All of them are on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

The Chongqing City Yongchuan Women's Prison forbids practitioners to go to bathroom, forces practitioners to stand up for extended periods of time, prohibits practitioners from sleeping and practitioners are not allowed to bathe or wash clothes. Some practitioners have been unable to use the bathroom, take a bath, or change their clothes for over two months. Practitioners have even been prevented from washing their dishes. They are discouraged from obtaining money orders to buy daily goods, even toilet paper.
Guards direct prisoners to beat or curse at practitioners. The prison officials also confiscate practitioners' personal letters and families' photos.
3. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Mr. Chang Li Unlawfully Held in the No 2 Detention Center
At noon on May 30, police officers from the Gangcheng Street Police Station in Qinhuangdao City used the excuse of "checking residence registration" to break into and ransacked the home of practitioner Mr. Chang Li. Mr. Chang Li and his wife were arrested, however, the wife was later released. Mr. Chang Li is currently being held in the No. 2 Detention Center in Qinhuangdao City.
4. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Shuqin's Home Ransacked
At 9:00 a.m., on June 6, over ten people from the Laishui County 610 Office, the Laishui County Police Department and the Laishui Township Police Station drove in three cars to the home of practitioner Ms. Wang Shuqin at the Dongnanzu Village and ransacked it. The police attempted to force Ms. Wang Shuqin to make a statement denouncing Falun Dafa. Ms. Wang Shuqin wanted to go out to look for her husband, practitioner Mr. Xin Tingchao, but the police pulled and dragged her which prevented her from leaving.
5. [Wuwei City, Gansu Province] Ms. Zhang Wenpei, Ms. Wang Fengqin and Ms. Zhang Xueping Unlawfully Sentenced to Custody
Practitioners Ms. Zhang Wenpei, Ms. Wang Fengqin and Ms. Zhang Xueping were detained on September 1, 2007. On October 17, they were arrested and sentenced by the Liangzhou District Procuratorate of Wuwei City. They were sentenced to six years, four years and six months and three years of custody, respectively.
6. [Lishui City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Sun Guangyu and Ms. Wang Bihong Arrested
Recently, practitioners Ms. Sun Guangyu and Ms. Wang Bihong were arrested by the local 610 Office, the State Security Division and others and their homes were ransacked. They are still being detained, however current information about their situation is unknown.

7. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Du Fuxiang Unlawfully Arrested While Distributing Truth-clarification Materials
On June 10, practitioner Ms. Du Fuxiang from Zhuozhou City was arrested while distributing truth-clarification materials. Subsequently, her home was ransacked for two hours.
8. [Fushun County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Du Jingqin's Home Unlawfully Ransacked
The police from the Fushun County Police Department have gone twice to ransack the home of practitioner Ms. Du Jingqin, in an attempt to find "evidence" to further the persecution.

On the morning of June 10, the 610 Office, the State Security Division and the Guangming Police Station colluded with each other to forcibly take away practitioner Mr. Sun Hui at his work place, using the excuse that someone had reported him to the police. In addition, at noon that day they ransacked his home and confiscated some Falun Dafa materials. Mr. Sun Hui and his mother were arrested by the police.
10. [Gannan County, Helongjiang Province] Mr. Guo Jinfu Arrested Around June 5 and Forcibly Taken to the Gannan County Detention Center

On May 27, police officers went to the home of Ms. Liu Naiyan, who was not home at the time. On May 28, police officers went to the Dongsuozhuang Village and arrested Ms. Liu Naiyan at the Village Market Fair. The police then went to ransack her home and confiscated some of her truth-clarification discs, copies of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and other items. The police attempted to take some of her cash, but they were prevented from doing so by her family members.
12. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Longhui and Ms. Yang Junying Arrested
Ms. Yang Longhui, Ms. Yang Junying, and Ms. Li Shujuan were arrested by officers from the Jinniu Police Department, the Caojiagang Police Station and the Liangjiagang Police Station. On June 7, Ms. Li Shujuan was released while Ms. Yang Longhui and Ms. Yang Junying were taken to and held in the Chengdu City Detention Center.
13. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Peilan and Ms. Zhang Zhulin Arrested
On the evening of May 24, police officers from the Tiexi District Police Department and the Qigong Police Station arrested Ms. Zhang Peilan, in her sixties, and also ransacked her home. Another practitioner, Ms. Zhang Zhulin was also arrested at the same time.
14. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Supplementary Information on the Persecution of Arrested Practitioners
Four practitioners who were arrested on April 25, at the Daowai District in Harbin City, have been on a hunger strike for the past several days. They are: Ms. Han Xianghua, Ms. Wang Yan, Ms. Xiao Sun and Ms. Wu Xiaofeng. The practitioners are brutally force feed every day. At 11:00 a.m., on May 29. Ms. Han Xianghua, Ms. Wang Yan and Ms. Wu Xiaofeng were taken to the Qianjin Forced Labor Camp and subjected to mistreatment The police transferred the practitioners without going through legal procedures. The whereabouts of another practitioner, Ms. Xiao Sun, are unknown.
15. [Shandong Province] Information on the Persecution of Several Practitioners from Zouping County
In mid-March of 2008, Ms. Cui Fuhong and her son who does not practice Falun Dafa, were arrested and sentenced to three years of forced labor and one year of forced labor, respectively. Without any justifiable cause, officers from the Zouping County 610 Office, the State Security Division, the Police Department and the Police Station took practitioner Ms. Li Qin, around thirty five years old, to the County Detention Center and held her there for one month before she was released. In April, Ms. Liu Xiuzhen from Changshan Town was arrested. Around May 13, the home of Mr. Lao Song from the Douying Village in Changshan Town was ransacked, and computers, printers and other items were confiscated. At the same time, a female Falun Dafa practitioner, about forty years old, from the Xiaolizhuang Village in the Huang Mountain area, and Mr. Liu Gongbin and his wife from the Langjun Village were arrested and their homes ransacked.

At 6:00 a.m., on May 16, he was taken to the Laiyang City Forced Labor Camp where he was persecuted. His current whereabouts are unknown.

23. [Suileng County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Ni Shuxian and Ms. Lu Mei Still Unlawfully Held in the Forestry Bureau Detention Center
On the evening of May 18, Ms. Ni Shixian, a fifty-nine year old dentist and Ms. Lu Mei, a forty year old dismissed worker from Suileng County, went to the Suileng County Forestry Bureau to expose the wrongful actions of the Suileng County Forest Bureau's State Security Division who colluded with the police from the Gongren Street Police Station to arrest and detain sixty year old, Ms. Yin Aidong. On their way back, at about 11:00 p.m., the two practitioners were chased, stopped and arrested by police officers from the Suileng County Forestry Police and the Linyuan District Police Station. They are currently been held in the Suileng County Forestry Bureau Detention Center.
24. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Two Falun Dafa Practitioners Unlawfully Arrested on the Afternoon of June 11 and Held at the Chengxi Police Station
25. [Linshu County, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Jingxiao Facing an Unlawful Trial
Ms. Wang Jingxiao was arrested on the afternoon of January 24, 2008 and has since been held at the Linshu County Detention Center. During the detention, her family members received the Detention Certificate and the March 1st Arrest Warrant, from the Police Department. Recently, her family members learned that Ms. Wang Jingxiao will be unlawfully tried at 8:30 a.m., on the morning of June 16.

26. [Danyang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Yang Yuzhen and Her Elder Brother Arrested at 9:00 p.m., on June 10, When Distributing Truth-Clarification Materials.
27. [Huailai County, Hebei Province] Mr. Jia Zhijiang and Ms. Li Rongmei Subjected to Mistreatment
At 11:10 a.m., on June 10, about six plain clothes police officers from the State Security Division of Huailai County arrested Mr. Jia Zhijiang and Ms. Li Rongmei. They were forcibly taken by the police to be interrogated at the State Security Division. The police kicked and beat the two practitioners, locked them to heating pipes, and later ransacked their homes. The police confiscated computers, printers and a large amount of cash and saving slips. Mr. Jia Zhijiang has been released while Ms. Li Rongmei is still being held and mistreated at the State Security Division.
28. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wei Junfeng Arrested
Ms. Wei Junfeng is in her forties. On the afternoon of June 8, she was reported to police when she was distributing truth-clarification materials. Consequently, she was arrested by police officers from the Fu'an Police Station and her home was also ransacked. She is currently being taken to Qingdao City to be detained.
29. [Pan County, Guizhou Province] Mr. Su Guangzhu Sentenced to Forced Labor
Mr. Su Guangzhu from Chengguan Town in Pan County was arrested in March 2008. He has been held in a detention center. On May 22, he was taken to do forced labor at the Anshun Forced Labor Camp in Guizhou Province.
30. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Including Mr. Yin Wenzhi, Unlawfully Held
Mr. Yin Wenzhi and a fellow female practitioner from Yanfutun Village, Xiyan Township, Gaoyang County in Baoding City were both arrested at home on May 3 by police officers from the Xiyan Township Police Station. Their homes were also ransacked. They are currently held in the Gaoyang County Detention Center. The female practitioner is on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. The police are attempting to extort ten thousand yuan from Mr. Yin Wenzhi's family members and claim that Mr. Yin will be released upon receiving the money.

On the morning of June 10, the State Security Division of Xuyong County, Luzhou City colluded with the Luobu Town Police Station of Xuyong County to break into and ransacked the home of Ms. Ai Hui. The police confiscated all of the Falun Dafa books, materials, and her daughter's computer. Ms. Ai Hui was also arrested and released the same day.

On June 10, without notifying her family members, she was secretly transfered to the Fushun City Brainwashing Center, where she is being subjected to persecution.

At noon on June 11, Ms. Sui Yanling and Ms. Kong Demei from Shaoguo Village, Qiangang Township of Nong'an County were arrested by the Qiangang Township Police Station when they were distributing truth-clarification materials. They were taken to and held an the Wugongli Detention Center in Nong'an County.

At about 4:00 p.m., on June 11, residents from the No. 4 Residential District of the Chemical fertilizer Factory, located on Xingfu East Street, Xuanhua District of Zhangjiakou City, Ms. Hai Ying and her husband who does not practice Falun Dafa, were arrested by the police from the Dongsheng Police Station of Xuanhua District. Their home was ransacked by the police and a satellite dish, a television, Falun Dafa books along with other items were confiscated. The couples three year old son was left home alone and is being taken care of by their neighbors.

Around May 25, practitioners Ms. Li Fengyn and Ms. ? Yonglan (surname unclear) from Xihua County were reported to the police when they were clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa on Chengxi Street. Consequently, they were arrested by the police from the State Security Division. Their case has been given to the Procuratorate.
43. [Jize County, Hebei Province] Mr. An Qinghai Arrested
On May 22, the police from the Jize County Police Department arrested Mr. An Qinghai at the Kuzhuang Village of Xiaozai Town. At around 5:00 a.m., on May 22, about seven police officers cut the phone line to the home of Mr. An Qinghai. Police officers broke into the home of Mr. An Qinghai and he was brutally beaten. He was then forcibly handcuffed and taken to Handan City where he is being held.
44. [Chongqing City] Mr. Tang Yi Held in the Xishanping Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Tang Yi is from Chongqing City and was doing part-time work in Guizhou Province. He was arrested by the police on his way back to Chongqing City. Reportedly, Mr. Tang Yi is currently being held in the Strict Monitoring Division of the Xishanping Forced Labor Camp, located in Beipei District in Chongqing City.
45. [Qingyuan County, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Cunzeng Arrested
On the morning of June 8, practitioner Mr. Li Chunzeng from Libazhuang Village, Beidian Township in Qingyuan County was arrested by the police from the Qingyuan County State Security Division, when they were distributing truth-clarification materials at the Niuzhuang Village in Beidian Township. Later, the home of Mr. Li Cunzeng was ransacked. The police confiscated a copy machine and also arrested Mr. Li Cunzeng's daughter, practitioner Ms. Li Yan.
Mr. Li Chunzeng is currently being held at the Qngyuan County Detention Center. The location of where his daughter is being detained is unknown.

On June 7, several practitioners from Taiyuan City were arrested by police officers on patrol from the Yingze Police Department and by police from the Haozhuang Police Station. Among those arrested with known names are: Mr. Ren Xiaoqing, Ms. Ren Xiaohong and Mr. Liang.
47. [Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Four Falun Dafa Practitioners Arrested at Chifeng City
Around the beginning of June, 2008, four practitioners were arrested in Banshitu Village, Anqinggou Town in Chifeng City. They are: Ms. Meng Xiangfeng, Ms. Sun Shuling, Ms. Zhu Xiulan and Ms. Wang Shurong. They are currently being held at the Sanyanjing Detention Center in Songshan District.
48. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Supplementary Information on the Arrest of Mr. Liu Guigen and His Wife Ms. Peng Xiaoyan
On May 26, Mr. Liu Guigen and his wife Ms. Peng Xiaoyan from the Yulong Cotton Fabric factory in Leshan City were distributing truth-clarification materials at the Shilong Township Market, where they were followed and arrested. The police confiscated their home computer, a disc burner, truth-clarification materials, Falun Dafa books, Mps players and other items. They are currently being held at the Shizhushan Detention Center of Shizhong District. The couples six year-old daughter was left at home alone.
49. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhao Zhanbo Arrested and His Home Unlawfully Ransacked On May 24, practitioner Mr. Zhao Zhanbo from the Huanggu District of Shenyang City was arrested by the Shenyang City Police Department and by the Santaizi Police Station in Shenyang City. His home was unlawfully ransacked. The police confiscated gold jewelry, some cash, a bank card and a computer.
50. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yan Junhua Arrested and Her Home Ransacked on June 4
51. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Several Falun Dafa Practitioners Arrested
On June 5, the police from the Jiayue Town Police Station in Zhucheng City forcibly broke into the homes of practitioners from Xixusong Village. The practitioners were arrested and their homes ransacked. The practitioners are: Mr. Guo Xili, Ms. Feng Qiye and Ms. Lu Zengfang.
On May 28, police officers from Jiayue Town broke into and ransacked the home of practitioner Ms. Dou Jinbao and confiscated a laptop computer. Ms. Dou Jinbao was forced to leave home to avoid being arrested.
On May 24, police officers from Jiayue Town broke into the home of practitioner Mr. Wang Jianxiang from the Xianjiazhuang Village and confiscated truth-clarification materials from his home. In addition, police officers also harassed other practitioners.
52. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Supplementary Information on the Arrest of Mr. Ning Shigui
On the morning of May 15, about five police officers from the Hutouya Town Police Station in Laizhou City broke into the home of practitioner Mr. Ning Shigui from Xiaoliujia Village. They forcibly arrested Mr. Ning and also ransacked his home. Reportedly, Mr. Ning was released on the same day.

On June 2, seven practitioners from the Rongjiawan District of Yueyang City, including Ms. Rong Guixin and Ms. Wang Ping, were arrested by the police who used the "Olympic Torch" Relay as an excuse. On June 7, six practitioners including Ms. Rong Guixin were released while Ms. Wang Ping is currently detained at the Rongjiawan Detention Center of Yueyang City.
