(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 32 cities or counties in 12 provinces. In this report, 19 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention and at least 66 practitioners were arrested.
1. [Xiangfan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhu Guangyun Arrested and Ms. Liu Weishan in Critical Condition
Mr. Zhu Guangyun, a Dafa practitioner who works at the Aluminum Material Processing Factory in Xiangfan City, Hubei Province, was illegally arrested in the morning of July 30, 2008. Police from the Xiangfan 610 Office, Zhongyuan Police Station, Xiangfan Procuratorate and Court said they would have a "chat" with Mr. Zhu but instead arrested him.
Police from the Xiangfan City 610 Office, Hanjiang Police Station and the Security Department in Xiangfan City Hangyu Company arrested Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Weishan. Ms. Liu is currently being detained at the 364 Hospital. She was tortured and is now in critical condition.

2. [Chongqing, Sichuan Province] Mr. Tao Yukui Detained at Zhoujiabei Police Station
Mr. Tao Yukui, is a 64-year-old practitioner from Fenshui Township, Wanzhou District, Chongqing City. At midnight on July 23, 2008, police from the Fenshui Police Station and Fuluzhen Police Station of Liangping County broke into Mr. Tao's home and took him away. Mr. Tao is currently being detained at Zhoujiabei Police Station.
Officers from Wanzhou Police Station had previously arrested Mr. Tao, and he served a year-and-a-half sentence in a forced labor camp.

3. [Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Hongmei Tortured at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp
Practitioner Ms. Wang Hongmei was tortured with the Death Bed at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.
4. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Du Xinggui Arrested
On July 26, 2008, Mr. Du Xinggui, a Dafa practitioner from Gebujie, Shuncheng District, Fushum City, was arrested by police from Gebu Police Station. Mr. Du's home was ransacked and some Dafa materials were taken.
5. [Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wu Juan Detained Beyond Legal Limit
Ms. Wu Juan, a practitioner from Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province, was arrested on July 28, 2007 when she was clarifying the truth in Kuandian County. She was sentenced to one year in a forced labor camp. On July 28, 2008, Ms. Wu's family members asked for her release from Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, but the camp refused to release her.

6. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wu Xiujie Arrested
On July 29, police from Jiamusi Jianguolu Police Station went to Ms. Wu Xiujie's home and took her to the Jiamusi Police Station.
7. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yu Guiquan Arrested
On July 30, 2008, Dong Zhanjun, from Baishan City Wangou Police Station, and several policemen from Jiangyuan Public Security, arrested Mr. Yu Guiquan and ransacked his home.
8. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Mei Tortured and in Ill-Health
Ms. Yang Mei is a practitioner from Huadian City, Jilin Province. She was arrested by police from Songyuan Public Security and Songyuan Police Station after becoming homeless in order to avoid being recognized and persecuted. Ms. Yang is currently being detained at Songyuan City Shanyou Detention Center. She has been heavily tortured and now her health condition is so poor that she can barely care for herself.
9. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Honglian and Mr. Huang Gang Arrested
Ms. Liu Honglian, a practitioner from Pingshanjie, Fushun City, was arrested by police on July 18 when she was making truth-clarification materials.
In the morning of July 30, practitioner Huang Gang was arrested.
10. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Shuhua Detained at Shunyi Detention Center
Ms. Liu Shuhua is a Dafa practitioner from Shunyi, Beijing. On July 19, 2008, Ms. Liu was taken from her home by local police. She is currently being detained at Shunyi Detention Center.
11. [Wudi County, Shandong Province] Mr. Huang Shaorong Arrested Again
At noon on June 4, 2008, police from Wudi County, Shandong Province and police from Dongli District, Tianjin City, arrested Mr. Huang Shaorong in Tainjin. Mr. Huang was taken back to his home province of Shandong. He was able to leave the police station with strong righteous thoughts but was arrested again on July 23.
12. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Four Dafa Practitioners Arrested
Around 10:00 p.m. on July 29, 2008, four practitioners from Shaheshai Village, Shimenzhai Town, Funing County, Qinhuangdao City, including Ms. Wang Wenting, Ms. Gao Shuling, and Ms. Yu Yanqin, were arrested by a dozen police from Shimenzhai Police Station while studying the Fa in a practitioner's home. All four are currently being detained at Funing County Detention Center.

13. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Huilin Arrested
In the morning of July 29, 2008, seven policemen, including Bi Haibo from the Huanggezhuang Town Police Station, arrested Ms. Wang Huilin, a Dafa practitioner from Honghuayuan Village, Huanggezhuang Town. Her home was ransacked and some Dafa books and truth-clarification materials were taken. Ms. Wang is currently being detained at Fengnan Detention Center.
14. [Zhuolu County, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
In the afternoon of July 25, 2008, police from the Zhuolu County 610 Office and police station arrested Dafa practitioners Ms. Liu Fengying, Ms. Zhang Shuzhen, Ms. Zhang Jinmei, Ms. Zhang Zhengxiang, Ms. Li Jianmei, Mr. Li Rongxing, Ms. Zhang Xiaoqi, and a practitioner from Toupu. They were taken to the brainwashing center in Luozhuang, Zhuolu County.
Practitioners Ms. Huo Hanling, Ms. Zhou Jianzhen, and Ms. Mao, all from Zhuolu Middle School, are been detained at the school. Ms. Quan Chunying is being detained at the brainwashing center in Dongxiaozhuang.
On July 26, police from Wujiagou Town Police Station arrested Ms. Ma Zhanying and her husband, Mr. Ma Zhenhai (who was later released), Ms. Ma Zhaolian, Ms. Sun Xiaolan, Ms. Tang Yongfang, Ms. An Huiying, Ms. Gao Wenyan, and Ms. Liu Yuhua. They were taken to the brainwashing center at the Wujiagou Coal Mine.
15. [Wangdu County, Hebei Province] Ms. Sun Xingkun Arrested
Around 2:30 p.m. on July 30, 2008, police from the Wangdu County Police Department, Jiacun Township Government officials and officers from the local police Station arrested Ms. Sun Xingkun.
16. [Chongli County, Hebei Province] Persecution Cases in Chongli County
Officials in Chongli County used the excuse of needing to ensure "safety" for the Olympics and arrested Ms. Bai Mei, Mr. Shi Yuhuan, Ms. Zhang Fenghua, Mr. Xuan Huaijie and other practitioners. They are currently being detained at Chongli County Detention Center.
17. [Qianxi County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Shuyan Detained
On July 29, 2008, Wang Ying, the assistant director of the Chengguan Police Station, went to Ms. Wang Shuyan's home. Ms. Wang Shuyan and her husband were arrested and their home was ransacked. At around 4:00p.m., Ms. Wang's husband was released but Ms. Wang is still detained.
18. [Yulin City, Guangxi Province] Mr. Liang Chengmo Taken to Brainwashing Center
On July 18, Mr. Liang Chengmo, a practitioner from Yulin City Changcheng Mechanic Factory, was taken to a brainwashing center.
19. [Guanghan, Sichuan] Ms. Li Tingcui and Mr. Huang Zeyu Arrested
Around 10:00 p.m. On July 29, 2008, Ms. Li Tingcui and Mr. Huang Zeyu were arrested at their home.
20. [Chongqing City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Linbi Arrested
At noon on July 25, six policemen from Beipei District Shuitu County Police Station and Beipei Police Station broke into Ms. Chen Libi's home. They took Ms. Chen away and ransacked her home. Some Dafa materials and money with truth-clarification messages written on them were also taken. Ms. Chen's whereabouts are unknown.
21. [Suixi County, Anhui Province] Mr. Zhang Wenmin and Ms. Li Yan's Family Torn Apart After Their Arrests
Mr. Zhang Wenmin and Ms. Li Yan are husband and wife and are both Dafa practitioners in Suixi County. In 2001, Ms. Li Yan was arrested by Suixi police because she clarified the truth. She was sentenced to three years in Suxian Women's Prison. Ms. Li was released in 2004.
In the evening of July 14, 2008, police arrested Mr. Zhang Wenmin when he was going to work. Later they broke into Mr. Zhang and Ms. Li's home and took their computer and some Dafa books. Currently Mr. Zhang is being detained at Suixi County Detention Center. Ms. Li and their daughter are missing.
22. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhong Falan Arrested
In the afternoon of July 29, 2008, a group of police officers broke into the home of Ms. Zhong Falan, a Dafa practitioner who lives on Mizhou Street, Zhucheng City. Ms. Zhong was arrested and her home was ransacked.
23. [Tianjin City] Update on the Persecution of Mr. Yang Yongjian and His Wife
Mr. Yang Yongjian and his wife, Ms. Wang, both Dafa practitioners from Dagang District, Tianjin, were arrested when they were clarifying the truth in Wudi, Shandong Province. Ms. Wang was taken to a brainwashing center in Jinan City. Mr. Yang is currently being held at Dagang District Detention Center.
24. [Beijing City] Ms. Li Xiuqing Arrested
In the evening of July 27, 2008, Ms. Li Xiuqing, a Dafa practitioner from Ximazhuang Small District, Tongzhou County, Beijing City, was arrested by the police. Her home was ransacked and personal property was taken including a computer, a printer and Dafa books. Currently, Ms. Li is being detained at Ximazhuang Police Station.
25. [Wenling City, Zhejiang Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
On July 26, 2008, police arrested Ms. Guo Caixia, Ms. Guo Zhaohong, and Ms. A Chun, all practitioners from Wenling City, Zhejiang Province. On July 31, police from Taiping Police Station arrested Mr. Han Fugen and his wife, Ms. Lin Guilian. Mr. Han is now being detained in Hangzhou and Ms. Lin is being detained in Xinchang.
26. [Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Guijin Taken to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Liu Guijin has been taken to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.
27. [Beizhen City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Shi Dongmei and Mr. Li Baozhi Arrested
On July 28, 2008, several policemen from Kulongtai Town Police Statiion, Beizhen City and Kulongtaizhen Village broke into Ms. Shi Dongmei's home in Kulongtai Town. Ms. Shi was arrested and some Dafa books were taken from her home.
At around 10:00 p.m. on July 28, police broken into the homes of Ms. Chen Yurong, Mr. Li Baozhi, and Ms. Li Baoyun in Kulongtai Town and ransacked their homes. Mr. Li Baozhi was arrested. Currently, Ms. Shi Dongmei and Mr. Li Baozhi are being detained at Beizhen City Detention Center.
28. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Shuyun and Ms. Wang Meihua Arrested
On July 19, 2008, police from Zhanqian Police Station, Xinfu Branch in Fushun City arrested Ms. Wang Shuyun and Ms. Wang Meihua. Their homes were ransacked.
29. [Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Guiying Arrested
On July 28, 2008, Ms. Xu Guiying was arrested at her home in Dongjiadian.
30. [Jizhou City, Hebei Province] Practitioners Including Ms. Gao Huanju Arrested
At noon on July 31, 2008, police arrested Ms. Gao Huanju, Ms. Er Zhu and another practitioner from their home.
31. [Chicheng County, Hebei Province] Mr. Chu Henwen Taken to Brainwashing Center
On approximately July 25, Mr. Chu Hanwen, 60, a practitioner from Xicheliang Village, Dongmao Town, was taken by members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) from Dongmao to a local brainwashing center.
In Dongmao Township, five Falun Dafa practitioners are currently being detained: Mr. Li Dianxiang, Mr. Wang Fangliang, Mr. Chu Hanwen, Ms. Wu Guifang, and Ms. Ju Guihua.

32. [Yanggu County, Shandong Province] Mr. Hong Shiwen Arrested
In the afternoon of July 30, 2008, Mr. Hong Shiwen was arrested by police from Shifuo Police Station.
33. [Tanghai County, Hebei Province] Mr. Zheng Chunshan and Mr. Zhao Haisong Arrested
In the afternoon of July 30, 2008, a group of eight people from Tanghai County Police Station and Tanghai County No. 10 Farm, broke into the home of Mr. Zheng Chunshan, of Team 5, No. 10 Farm. Mr. Zheng's home was ransacked. Items were taken, included a laptop, a desktop computer, Dafa books, a picture of Teacher Li and some truth-clarification materials. Mr. Zheng was taken to Tanghai County Detention Center.
In the morning of July 31, police from the No. 8 Farm arrested Mr. Zhao Haisong, also from Tanghai County No. 10 Farm.
34. [Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Song Yuling Arrested
At 9:00 p.m. on July 30, police climbed over the wall of Ms. Song Yuling's home, located in Wangjiaxiaozhuang Village, Jiaozhou City, Qingdao, and arrested her.
35. [Taoyuan County, Hunan Province] More Than 30 Practitioners Arrested
In the afternon of July 15, 2008, officials from the Taoyuan County Police Station in Changde City, Hunan Province, organized a large-scale arrest of Falun Dafa practitioners. More than 30 arrests have been confirmed. Mr. Zhou Qinghui, Ms. Fang Xingzhi, and Ms. Jian Yuying are being detained at Changde First Detention Center. Mr. Dai Zeyou, a non-practitioner who suffers from diabetes and is Ms. Fang Xingzhi's husband, is being detained at Taoyuan County Police Station. Ms. Pang Changmin and Ms. He Lijia are being detained at Changde Second Detention Center.
36. [Renqiu, Hebei Province] Ms. Mei Fen Arrested
On the night of July 30, 2008, police arrested Ms. Mei Fen, a practitioner from Xiguxian Village, Chu-an County, Renqiu.
37. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Seventeen Practitioners Illegally Arrested
In the morning of July 31, 17 practitioners from various townships in Laixi City were arrested. They were taken to Laixi City Qingdaolu Police Station and their homes were ransacked.
38. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Many Practitioners Arrested
In July 2008, under the name of Olympic "security," members of the Shenzhou City police Station, 610 Office and local township's police stations executed another round of heavy persecution on practitioners in Shenzhou City. The methods they used included kidnapping, harassment, confiscating family property, surveillance, telephone monitoring, etc. For every Dafa practitioner, they arranged one or more people to watch him or her. More than 20 practitioners in Shenzhou have been arrested up to this point.
39. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] More Practitioners Arrested from Zhangjiakou City
On July 25, Mr. An Liqing, Ms. Xiao Huo and her husband, Ms. Yang Fengqing, and Mr. Zhi Qian, all practitioners from Zhangjiakou City, were arrested by local police. They are currently being detained at Shisanli Detention Center.
40. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Engineer Ms. Guo Lirong Arrested Again
Ms. Guo Liring, a Falun Dafa practitioner, was an electrical engineer at Qianfeng Electronic Group Limited Company in Chengdu. In the morning of July 31, 2008, Ms. Guo was arrested and taken from her home. Her home was ransacked and a Dafa book and some truth-clarification materials were taken.
41. [Wugong County, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Cao Junyi and Ms. Yan Renyan Sent to Forced Labor Camps
On May 14, 2008, two elderly practitioners from Wugong County, Mr. Cao Junyi and Ms. Yan Renyan, were arrested and sentenced to forced labor. Mr. Cao was given a year-and-a-half sentence and taken to Baoji City Fengxiang Zaozihe Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Yan was given two years and taken to Shaanxi Province Xi'an City Women's Forced Labor Camp.
42. [Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Ms. Li Yaru, Assistant Director of the Education Council of Forestry Bureau, Arrested
In the evening of July 27, 2008, about two dozen local police and network police broke into the home of Ms. Li Yaru, assistant director of the Education Council of Daxinganling Hanjia Forestry Bureau, Heilongjiang Province. Police forced Ms. Li to sit on a stool, put several Dafa books in front of her, and took pictures. Ms. Li had been using Internet (QQ) to clarify the truth and was discovered by network police. Currently Ms. Li is being detained at Shibazhan Prison.
43. [Liaoning Province] Police at Beizhen Area Ransack Practitioner's Home
With "security for the Olympics" as an excuse, Chinese Communist Party officials in the Beizhen area, Liaoning Province followed the orders from higher officials and kept harassing local practitioners. At 11:30 p.m. on July 29, eight policemen from Changxing Police Station climbed over the wall of the home of Ms. Li Suxian, a practitioner in Nietun Village, Changxing Town. They took Dafa books, an mp3 player, some CDs, other personal belongings, and the income card of Ms. Li's husband Xu Lianwen, as well as several hundred yuan in cash. Police beat Mr. Xu Lianwen and ransacked the home of Ms. Li's daughter too.
44. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Hongmei Arrested
On July 30, 2008, Ms. Chen Hongmei, 32, a practitioner from Xi Township, Baoan District, Shenzhen City, was arrested on her way to work.
45. [Yongqing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yan Feng Arrested
At 5:00 a.m. on July 18, a group of police broke into the home of Ms. Yan Feng, a practitioner from Dengjiawu Village, Houyi County, Yongqing County. Ms. Yan was arrested and some items from her home, including a computer and a printer, were taken.
