(Clearwisdom.net) Around 7:00 p.m. on July 14, 2008, approximately ten police officers from various locations in Heilongjiang Province, including the Domestic Security Division of the Nongken Police Department in Mudanjiang City; the Beidaying Police Station in Mishan City; the Nongken State Security Bureau; the Jixi City State Security Bureau; and other places suddenly burst into the apartment of practitioners Mr. Yao Tiebin and Ms. Zhang Fenrong, located in the Nongken Supply Station Building. After asking Mr. Yao's name, the police started to confiscate Mr. Yao's private property. When Mrs. Zhang asked the police why they were confiscating her family's belongings without cause, and which law they violated to cause the police to search their home, the police started to beat Mr. Yao and Mrs. Zhang. Without answering her questions, one of the officers said to them, "The state [Chinese Communist Party] doesn't allow you to practice Falun Gong. If you practice Falun Gong, then you violate the law."
Mr. Yao Tiebin is in his forties and used to be a worker in a textile mill. At present, he is unemployed. His wife Ms. Zhang Fengrong is also in her forties and is a worker at the No. 8511 Farm. Since the couple both started practicing Falun Gong, they have both very much benefited physically and mentally. They have conducted themselves according to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, the foundational principles of Falun Gong. On the evening of July 14, they both were beaten by the police until their faces were swollen and black and blue.
The police ransacked their home and took the family's money, a computer, a printer, a new motorcycle, Falun Dafa books, a video game and a reading machine for their child; the total cost of the property is over 30,000 yuan.
Although Mr. and Mrs. Yao repeatedly clarified the truth about Falun Gong to the police and also asked them to leave legal documentation of the property they took, the police simply replied, "We will get it to you later." So far, the police have not given Mr. Yao's family any legal documentation to confirm what they took from their home. The police also dragged Mr. and Mrs. Yao into a police vehicle and took them to the Jixi City State Security Bureau for an illegal interrogation.
