(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Su Changlan, 51, lived in Songnan Village, Nanzhang Town, Rencheng District, Jining City. She began practicing Falun Dafa in 1997. Only two months later, her chronic gallstones and other diseases were all gone. Her health returned, and she was very happy. Her husband had died six years earlier and she supported her family by selling homemade tofu. She raised her son, a student in Qingdao City, and her daughter, who is 18 years old now.
On September 12, 2007, Jining City CCP Secretary Sun Shougang (male) directly planned the widespread arrests of practitioners using 18 police stations simultaneously. Ms. Su Changlan was one of the more than twenty practitioners arrested. At around 6 a.m. on September 12, 2007, several officers broke into her home, took her copy machine and other property with a total worth of about ten thousand yuan, and took her into custody at the Jiyang Police Station. They then transferred her to be detained for 30 days in the Jining City Detention Center.
Soon after, the Jining City Zhong District Police Department sentenced Ms. Su to three years of forced labor, and they planned to take her to the Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp. Due to brutal mistreatment, Ms. Su became suddenly ill with hepatitis, and she was rejected by the labor camp. The Zhong District Police Department authorities had to release her, but her three-year term would have to be served outside the facilities.
Despite Ms. Su's severe condition, police officers still came to her home to harass her, which caused huge mental pressure. She became worse and worse, and after being hospitalized for a month, she still had not recovered. She died in March 2008. Her son and daughter lost their only remaining parent.
