(Clearwisdom.net) Five or six officers from the Manzhuang Township Police Station in the Daiyue District, Taian City of Shandong Province broke into Mr. Zhang Jinshan's workplace, Xinghuo Technology Group, to arrest him at around 10:00 a.m. on August 6, 2008. These policemen then ransacked Mr. Zhang's home in Beiliu Village, Manzhuang Township. They confiscated Mr. Zhang's computer and three copies of the book Zhuan Falun.
At around 2:00 p.m., Zhang Zhaoke, the Mannan Village Security Group Director, led the same group of officers to go to practitioners Mr. Qin Zhenquan and Ms. Zhang Liangui's home. The couple locked the door and refused to open it. They told these policemen, "You ignore the robberies, murders and corruption going on, but come to our home to harass us. You are deliberately breaking the law!" Then the officers used a ladder to climb over the wall to break into Mr. Qin's home. Qin Zhenquan escaped, but Zhang Huilian's current whereabouts are unknown. It is believed that she was arrested.
Mr. Zhang Jinshan is 32 years old. He graduated from the Shandong Science & Technology University and worked at the Xinghuo Technology Group. He lived in Beiliu Village, Manzhuang Township. He started practicing Falun Gong in 1997. He had been detained at the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp from 2000 to 2003. Currently, his 70-year-old father and mentally-ill mother live alone with his younger brother. In the past Zhang Jinshan supported the family financially. After Mr. Zhang was arrested, his family members are going through a tough time.
Ms. Zhang Liangui is 45 years old. She lives in Mannan Village, Manzhuang Township. She started practicing Falun Gong in 1997. After she began to practice Falun Gong, her bronchitis disappeared. She has benefited from Falun Gong both physically and mentally. She conducts herself with the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Everyone knows that she is a good person. Before this arrest, she had been arrested twice. Previously she was detained at the Jinan No. 1 Women's Forced Labor Camp, located on Jiangshuiquan Road, for one year from 2000 to 2001. In May 2003, officers from the Taixi Police Station in Gaoxin District arrested her and detained her at the Taian Detention Center. After she was released, officers from the Taian City Police Department carried out a residential surveillance on her. In October 2003, officers from the Manzhuang Township Police Station arrested Ms. Zhang Liangui and took her to the Shandong Women's Prison located in Jinan City. After three years of detention, she was released in October 2006. Since 1999, the couple Zhang Liangui and Qin Zhenquan have not been able to be together for more than three years.
Mr. Qin Zhenquan, 46, is a farmer in Mannan Village, Manzhuang Township. He started practicing Falun Gong in 1997. After he began the practice, his illnesses disappeared. He has benefited from Falun Gong both physically and mentally. Since the persecution began on July 20, 1999, Mr. Qin has been arrested and detained at the detention center and brainwashing center many times. During the lunar Chinese New Year of 2001, Ma Shouzhuang, head of the Manzhuang Township Police Station, led a group of policemen to try to arrest Qin Zhenquan. Qin did not cooperate with them and eventually escaped. In late September 2002, fourteen to fifteen policemen, from the Daiyue District Criminal Police Team and Manzhuang Township Police Station, respectively, climbed over the wall and entered his home. They forcibly arrested Mr. Qin and detained him at the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp for three years. During the period of his detention, no one took care of his parents, who are in their seventies, or his teenage child.
The persecutor is Zhang Zhaoke, who is the head of the Manna Village Women's Federation and the head of the Mannan Village Security.
