(Clearwisdom.net) On August 22, 2008, the Austrian Falun Dafa Association held an activity on the Stephans Platz in downtown Vienna to expose the Chinese Communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong that has persisted for over nine years. They also exposed the Chinese Communist regime's mass arrests and persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in the run-up to the Olympic Games.

A spokesperson for the European Green Party and Austrian Green Party spokesperson on foreign affairs, along with an Austrian Ruling Party and Social Democrat spokesperson on development, came to the event venue. They criticized China's human rights conditions and also expressed concern over the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China.
Socialist Party spokesperson Petra Bayr addressed the Chinese Communist regime's organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners by saying, "It's horrible, unimaginable."
Austrian Green Party spokesperson on Foreign Affairs Ulrike Lunacek expressed concern over the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China. She also said that the Chinese Communist regime should have improved its human rights situation and freedom of the press prior to the Olympic Games, and that the regime's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and Tibetan groups are in opposition to the concepts of human rights.
Two MPs also published news media announcements on the same day regarding the Falun Dafa Association's activity.
