(Clearwisdom.net) On August 10, 2008, Ms. Wu Shengying, principal of Yuhuai Secondary School in Xishui County, Guizhou Province, was illegally arrested from her home. Leader Ren from the National Protection Team was responsible for the arrest. When Ms. Wu's family demanded her release at the Public Security Bureau, her son pointed directly at Ren, saying that it was he who took his mother away. Ren refused to admit his involvement. Ms. Wu's family was prohibited from seeing her, and Deputy Bureau Chief Ma Long even threatened them, "If you don't stop we'll arrest you as well." Ma also said that it was a crime to practice Falun Gong.
Ms. Wu's family members have no idea as to her whereabouts beside the fact that she has been taken to a "Law and Order Education Class" in a nearby village. This "class" is in fact a brainwashing center. They are very worried about her. On July 12, when she and her husband, Xiao Sixian, were recruiting students in Erlang Village, they were taken to the Xishui Detention Center under the pretext of "checking motorcycle registration." Ms. Wu was detained for five days and was only released on the 17th due to her pregnancy. Even then, officials from the local Public Security Bureau, Judicial Committee, County Party Council, municipal government, Xishui County Family Planning Office, Mobility Office, and the Donghuang Town government began monitoring her around the clock and even forced her to abort her baby.
Ms. Wu Shengying is the daughter of the Hong Kong-registered Yonghong Company's CEO, and is a registered Hong Kong resident. On March 2006, she took charge of Yuhuai Secondary School. As a Falun Gong practitioner, she conducted herself according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and always considered others before herself. After two years of hard work, she was able to turn Yuzhuan Secondary School from a school that was facing closure to one of the top schools in the region, including an increasing number of students admitted to university every year.
The arrest of Ms. Wu has had a very negative effect on investors in the region. The first thing that people say is, "Yuhuai Secondary School's principal from Hong Kong has been arrested." Frequent harassment by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) personnel in Yuhuai Secondary School has also created negative feelings among teachers. County Chief Gou Mingli and Education Bureau Chief Wang Mengjia went to Yuhuai to conduct a so-called "workshop," which was, in fact, brainwashing by forcing the entire school to study the Communist Party's ideology for two hours a day, as well as setting up Party councils and collecting signatures for dubious causes. Many teachers and students were very annoyed by these activities.
Ms. Wu's husband, Xiao Sixian, is currently detained in the Xishui County Detention Center. According to the authorities, his case has been sent to the Procuratorate, but none of his family members have received any written statement. A behind-closed-doors trial is possibly on the way. According to sources, on August 16, Mr. Xiao was taken to the County Hospital in handcuffs, his health deteriorating due to the torture.
There are several people in Xishui County who were manipulated by the CCP's lies and, out of personal interest, have taken part in the persecution. Some have suffered karmic retribution for their misdeeds. Former Xishui First Secondary School's principal Wan Jianhua drew comics to defame Dafa and forced students to sign their names on petitions defaming Falun Gong. In 2001, he died in a car accident. Former Xishui Fifth Secondary School principal Li Zhengquan also instigated students to defame Falun Gong and also died in a car accident in 2006. Former Public Security Bureau Disciplinary Council Secretary Tang Hong once actively participated in persecuting Falun Gong and even rose to become the County Judicial Council's Deputy Chief (along with receiving the Central Government's awards). However, she died at age 44 due to cancer. Her children were also affected. The same year, her son tried to climb into the house through a window and fell to his death. Former Xishui Public Security Bureau Chief Yu Changyang was also an active participant in persecuting Falun Gong until he was investigated for links to gangs and is currently imprisoned outside the province. The current National Protection Leader, Yuan Chaohua, was beaten badly one day. Police officer Lu Jiuping, who once actively persecuted practitioners in the detention center, is now suffering from liver cirrhosis, and Xishui County Party Council Secretary Song Xinzhu has been recently diagnosed with late-stage cancer.
