1. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Several Practitioners from the Fularji District Arrested
Three officers from the Yanjiang Police Station in the Fularji District arrested 40-year-old Ms. Li Shumei on the afternoon of August 12, 2008. Her computer and printer were confiscated.
Ms. Lu Shibo, about 40 years old, was arrested at 12:00 a.m. on August 13, 2008, from her home. Her computer and a printer were confiscated. She is being held in the district detention center.
Ms. Gao Yongzhi, about 50 years old, was arrested from her home on August 13, 2008. Hongan Police Station Chief Luan Shijiang and other police officers beat and bruised her. She is in the district detention center.
Ms. Zhou Guoping, about 50 years old, was arrested at 1:00 p.m. on August 17, 2008. Her computer and a printer were confiscated.
Personnel from the Hongan Police Station, waiting outside 50-year-old Ms. Xin Yanhua's home, arrested her and confiscated her computer at 4:00 p.m. on August 17, 2008. The arrest happened just as Ms. Xin returned home.
Forty-seven-year-old Ms. Sun Bao, an employee from the district's Railway Cargo Station, was arrested, and her whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Zhuanghe City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Lijuan Still in Detention
Officers from the Xinhua Police Station including Xia Mingxue arrested Ms. Zhang Lijuan, an employee from the Dalian Baoshan Clothes Company in Zhuanghe City, at 8:00 am on July 23, 2008. She was put into the Dahuofang Reservoir Brainwashing Center in Fushun City.

3. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Ying in a Brainwashing Center
Police arrested 30-year-old Mr. Liu Ying, an employee from the Construction Bank in Linyi City, on July 20, 2008. The arrest happened in the city's Hedong Airport when the police found two Falun Gong truth-clarifying CDs in Mr. Liu's bag. Personnel from the city's 610 Office put him in the city brainwashing center, and his whereabouts are unknown.
4. [Qing County, Hebei Province] Mr. Guo Zhiwei Arrested
Mr. Guo Zhiwei is still in the Jidong Prison Hospital. He refused to submit to a transfusion or to drink. The police force-fed him through a tube, causing him to suffer a stomachache and diarrhea. Mr. Guo's mother and wife have visited him and requested his release.
5. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Several Practitioners Facing Trial
Eleven practitioners including Mr. Ding Zeyang, Mr. Mao Kun, Mr. Zhu Renbin, Ms. Zhong Fangqiong, Mr. Jiang Zonglin, and Mr. Li Kun will be tried in the Wuhou District Court in Chengdu City on September 10, 2008.
6. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Baolan, about 50 Years Old, Arrested on September 8, 2008, When Distributing Truth-Clarifying Flyers
7. [Xixia City, Shandong Province] Police Arrest Mr. Huang Zhihu
Personnel from the Xujiadian Town Police Station arrested Mr. Huang Zhihu in early August when he explained the facts about Falun Gong in Xujiadian Town, Haiyang City. He was taken to Haiyang City and his whereabouts are unknown.
8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Jingyu Held in the Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp
Several practitioners living in the Ouya Scientific Complex No. 9 Building in Changchun City were arrested on March 23, 2008. One of them, Ms. Chen Jingyu, was first taken to the city's No. 3 Detention Center and then transferred to Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp a month later.
9. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Zhang Chunming and His Brother Arrested
Personnel from the Zhongdong Police Station in the Yunyan District, Guiyang City, broke into Mr. Zhang Chunming's home and ransacked it on September 8, 2008.

Ms. Li Fengyun and her husband from Yanji City did not return home last night. It was learned that they are in the Xiaohelongtoudao Police Station. Police beat the couple overnight and ransacked their home today.
12. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] The Persecution of Mr. Li Haijun
Mr. Li Haijun, 38 years old, is from Gaojiaying Village, Chongli County. He went to appeal for Falun Gong in 2000, but officer Zhang Guisuo and others from the county police department arrested him and put him into the county detention center. Police station personnel and 610 Office agents extorted nearly 10,000 yuan from him and then released him.
Mr. Li was held in the county detention center again in 2001. Policeman Zhang Guisuo beat him, and Mr. Li later went on a hunger strike. He was sentenced to one year of forced labor and admitted to Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp in Baoding City. He was released in 2002, but the police harassed him several days after his release. His wife could not bear the persecution and divorced him. Mr. Li had led a homeless existence ever since.
Personnel from the Chongli Police Station and from the Hunan Province Police Department arrested Mr. Li on August 5, 2008, when he worked in Hunan Province. They took him back to Zhangjiakou City and put him in the city detention center.

13. [Anqing City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhang Chenghua and Ms. Chen Yadi Arrested
Personnel from the Anqing City Domestic Security Division and from the Shusong Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Zhang Chenghua and Ms. Chen Yadi at 5:00 p.m. on September 4, 2008. They confiscated a laptop computer, several Dafa books, and some Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. The two practitioners were taken to the county detention center. They had been held in the Wangjiang Detention Center and in the Anqing Detention Center in May 2008.

Mr. Wang Zhenshu and Ms. Li Aifen from Lijin County were arrested on September 9, 2008, for explaining about the persecution of Falun Gong at a fair. They are in the county's detention center.

16. [Chongqing] Mr. Zhao Xinhua Arrested
Seventy-one-year-old Mr. Zhao Xinhua is from Fengchang Village's Chaoyang No.1 Team in Bailin Town, the Jiangjin District, Chongqing. The police arrested him from his nephew's home in Xianfeng Gaoya Village's Qingcao No. 6 Team in the district at 11:00 a.m. on September 4, 2008. His whereabouts are unknown.

17. [Huaiyang City, Henan Province] Most Practitioners Arrested Before the Olympic Games Released
About 40 practitioners were arrested around the Olympic Games and 30 of them were put in a detention center. Most of them now have been released, but several of them are still in being detained. They are Mr. Zheng Xianjin from Lutai County, Mr. Su Zhenhua, and 70-year-old Ms. Yang Jingxian from Beiguan County.
18. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Hui Transferred to the Tangshan Forced Labor Camp
Personnel from the Chang'an Police Station and from the Hedong Police Station arrested Ms. Li Hui, an employee from the Shijiazhuang City's Business Bank, on the morning of July 4, 2008. Police later ransacked her home. Ms. Li was recently transferred to Tangshan Forced Labor Camp.
19. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Officials in the Zhanjiaji Brainwashing Center Prohibit Mr. Lu Jin's Family's Visits
Personnel from the Wulidun Police Station arrested Mr. Lu Jin from Wuhan City at 6:00 p.m. on August 18, 2008. They then transferred her to the Dazi Street Police Station and later to the Zhanjiaji Brainwashing Center in the Jiang'an District. Mr. Lu's wife and parents brought his infant to visit him and requested his release, but officials on duty denied their visits and even called police to arrest them.
20. [Linjiang City, Jilin Province] Belated News from 2005: Ms. Yan Caiying and Others from Dahu Village Persecuted
Sixty-year-old Ms. Yan Caiying was from Dahu Village, Linjiang City. Linjiang City Police Department's Political Security Section Chief Geng Lidong and several policemen ransacked Ms. Yan's home in 2005. They confiscated Dafa books and a brand new VCD player. They then took Ms. Yan to the police station and held her for a day. After extorting 2,000 yuan from her, the police released her.
Another 70-year-old, Ms. Yu was arrested with Ms. Yan, and her family had 1,000 yuan extorted from them. She was released later, but developed symptoms of a cerebral embolism. She died in June 2006.
Policeman Geng Lidong arrested Ms. Yan again in November 2005 and sentenced her to one year and three months of forced labor. She was held in Herzuizi Forced Labor Camp.
21. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Officer Ji Zhanxing from Tuanjie Police Station in the Jinshantun District arrested Ms. Dong Hui and 70-year-old Ms. Qian Guixian from the district in 70-year-old Ms. Qi Guilan's home at 10:00 a.m. on September 5, 2008. They confiscated a picture of the founder of Falun Gong. Ms. Dong and Ms. Qi explained the facts about Falun Gong and tried to stop the officer, but he called other policemen and arrested the three practitioners. Later, the police ransacked all three practitioners' homes and confiscated many items.
Ms. Qi's family and Ms. Qian's 80-year-old husband were had 500 yuan extorted from them and were released that same night. Ms. Dong is still in the Xilin District Detention Center.

Ms. Yao Cuiyun and Ms. Ding Zhaoqin, in their 50s, employees of the Linyi City Orthopedics Hospital, were arrested at 10:00 a.m. on September 8, 2008. They are being held in the Linyi City Detention Center.

23. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Lanrong Held in the Shijiazhuang City Women's Forced Labor Camp
Personnel from the Yangzhuang Township Police Station in the Nanshi District arrested 53-year-old Ms. Liu Lanrong from Yidingzhuang Village, Jinzhuang Township, Baoding City, on June 28, 2008. She was taken to the Shijiazhuang City Women's Forced Labor Camp on July 15, 2008. Her husband, Mr. Wang Yuling, has been released.
24. [Kangbao County, Hebei Province] Ms. Lu Aiming and Ms. Cao Fengtao Sentenced
Policeman Luo Zhong and a person named Yan Xiaolin arrested Ms. Lu Aiming and ransacked her home on July 16, 2008. They confiscated three copies of Zhuan Falun and other items. They claimed that they confiscated 300 copies of Zhuan Falun and 366 Falun Gong booklets. They attempted to sentence Ms. Lu based on their false claim.
Kangbao County Court agents held a trial for Ms. Lu and Ms. Cao Fengtao on September 5, 2008. Ms. Lu was sentenced to three years in prison.

26. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zou Xiuqiong Arrested
Ms. Zou Xiuqiong, a teacher from the Mazhang District No. 2 Primary School in Zhanjiang City, was arrested on August 7, 2008, for distributing Falun Gong flyers. She is in the city brainwashing center.

27. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Repeated Harassment of Mr. Chang Lizhong
Three officers, including Gangcheng Avenue Police Station chief Zhang Hongquan, broke into Mr. Chang Lizhong's home at 7:30 a.m. on September 9, 2008, just as his son and wife were leaving. They attempted to arrest Mr. Chang, who defied them. His wife resisted the arrest for an hour, and the police eventually left.
