My Son Was Cured of Epilepsy

I had the great fortune to become a Falun Gong practitioner in 1997. I have witnessed many miracles of Falun Gong. My son, for instance, has obtained a new lease on life because of it.

My son was nearly nine years old when I started practicing. At such a tender age, he had suffered from epilepsy for six years. As a parent, I was tormented when I saw him having a seizure. I felt helpless as a mother. The horrible illness of epilepsy nearly drove my husband and me insane. For six years we sought medical treatments everywhere, but nothing worked. We tried both Western and Chinese traditional medicine. As a result, my son often went back and forth between Western and Chinese herb prescriptions. However, his condition turned worse as he grew older.

What could I do? If it had not been for Falun Gong, I cannot imagine what his life would have been like by now. Fortunately I started practicing Falun Gong. My son went to a group practice site with me to study the Fa and watch Teacher's Fa lecture video. It was Teacher who saved his life.

One Sunday morning he and I were listening to Teacher's Fa lectures in Jinan. After one lecture had finished, I felt a little sleepy. I asked my son, "Mummy is sleepy. Do you want to continue listening?" My son nodded and said, "I do." While I was celebrating in my heart that he enjoyed listening to Teacher's Fa lectures, he started to have a seizure. But it was different from before. In the past he would stare blankly and foam at the corner of his mouth. After a moment of shock, I was ecstatic. I somehow knew Teacher was making him sleepy in order to heal him.

Since then, my son has never had another seizure. It was Teacher and the Fa that gave him a second lease on life! To think my son never has to take another pill or intolerable herbs again! To think my son is now growing like other kids his age! To think my son is now free of illness! I cannot express my gratitude towards Falun Gong! Words cannot express my gratitude towards Teacher and the Fa! Like the ancient Chinese saying goes, "Words cannot repay the greatest favor." Words seem inadequate to express my gratitude. I can only repay Teacher by assisting Teacher in his Fa-rectification and doing well what a Falun Gong practitioner should do.

Having Steadfast Faith in Teacher and the Fa Is of the Utmost Importance

I obtained the Fa in 1998. At the time I didn't study the Fa well and often slacked off on practicing the exercises. Therefore, I stopped practicing when the Chinese Communist regime started the suppression of Falun Gong in 1999.

I knew Falun Gong was good and Teacher was good, but I couldn't bring myself to practice Falun Gong. I feared everything. I feared being arrested and beaten up. I feared my home being ransacked. I feared my children's education would be interrupted. Many attachments surfaced. Shortly after I gave up practicing Falun Gong, I started to feel bad. I especially felt a lot of pain in my legs and lower back. On bad days, I had to rely on others to look after me. I worshiped Buddha and offered incense at the temples, but that did not help. I had myself checked out at the hospital and was diagnosed with a protruding spinal disk. I had an operation, but it only reduced the pain. The spinal problem caused me many troubles and inconveniences. Sometimes my leg pain and lower back pain were agonizing beyond description.

When I was feeling desperate, I started to practice Falun Gong again in 2006 with the help of fellow practitioners, as the result of many hints from Teacher, and inspired by my mother-in-law's miraculous recovery. My mother-in-law was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer. She sought medical treatment in many places and spent a lot of money. Beijing Hospital physicians decided that her case was hopeless. Yet she regained her health after she started practicing Falun Gong. Later she traveled to Baoding and had herself examined at several hospitals in Beijing. She was perfectly healthy! Falun Gong is miraculous! Amazed by my mother-in-law's recovery, I thought, "Who can save me? Only Falun Gong can! Only Teacher can!" I told myself, "I must have steadfast, steadfast, steadfast faith in Falun Gong. I must not give up practicing Falun Gong again." Thus, I started practicing again.

Through constantly studying the Fa, practicing the exercises, reading "Minghui Weekly", and exchanging cultivation insights with fellow practitioners, I finally have a better understanding of the Fa and have reinforced my faith in Falun Gong. Then I realized my leg and lower back pain that had troubled me for about five years had disappeared without many medical treatment.

In order to validate the beauty of Falun Gong, I tell people I meet my personal story. I will not overlook any predestined person. I take advantage of my job to explain the truth about the practice and persuade people to quit the CCP. Saving sentient beings has become part of my life. Now my entire family, my relatives on my mother's side and my husband's side, and my friends have learned the truth about Falun Gong. Having witnessed the wonderful changes in my mother-in-law and me, some of them have started practicing as well. I have finally realized the crucial importance of having steadfast faith in Teacher and Falun Gong.
