Many local government officials and city council members came to the opening ceremony. Prof. Chang Chinhua, trustee of New Santsai Culture Association and professor at Taiwan University, gave a speech. She believed that the guests will sense the positive energy at the exhibition and the beauty of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

She pointed out that Falun Gong practitioners are compassionate; they don't have hatred. "For example, please look at the little girl in the painting, who is passing out truth-clarifying materials in the rain, in her eyes there is hope and glory of compassion," Prof. Chang said, pointing to one of the paintings.

The guests recognized the positive impact that the exhibition brings to society. The mayor of Taoyuan, Su Chiaming, hoped that the exhibition will help people to uplift their minds and spirits in the New Year. Lin Pichang, a county council member, was touched by a particular piece which depicts Falun Gong practitioner's efforts to stop the persecution.

The exhibition is made up of four categories: "Assimilating to the Fa" "Righteous Belief Forever" "Calling for Justice" and "Good Meets Good, and Evil Meets Evil." All the artists are Falun Gong practitioners. They demonstrated the beauty of Falun Gong and practitioners' steadfast faith despite persecution through the artwork.

The exhibition has been held more than 200 times in forty countries. The exhibit in Taoyuan ended on January 13.
