My Parents' Great Change in Mind and Body
My mother had diabetes which caused some gynecopathies, and hyperosteogeny which caused her to be unable to lift her left arm. She also had gastroptosis, rheumatism, and other diseases before she began Falun Dafa practice in 1996. My mother went to several hospitals and took many pills every day. Whether she sought relief for her ailments from Western medicine or traditional Chinese medicine, it had no effect. She was afflicted by these diseases and weighed only about 77 pounds. My father had chronic bronchitis. My sisters, brother and I were all very worried about their health conditions.
After my parents began practicing Falun Dafa, they strictly followed Master's teachings and took every opportunity to upgrade their xinxing. My mother had been a rather narrow-minded person who would not eat or drink for days due to being annoyed by some trivial matters. What's more, she would slap herself until her face was swollen. After she began cultivating, she measured her words and deeds according to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. She broadened her outlook and now always puts others first. My father's sickness has also disappeared, and his view of life has greatly changed. My sisters, brother and I all started to practice Falun Dafa after we witnessed the startling changes in our parents.
Our house was a practice site for dozens of people before the persecution began on July 20, 1999. My family persisted in cultivation practice after July 20, 1999. We tell the people around us that Falun Dafa is good, and write to companies and governmental authorities of all levels to tell them the facts about Falun Dafa. I was illegally sentenced to three years in prison, my brother was sent to a forced labor camp, and my parents were sent to brainwashing centers.
Let the Three Things Pervade our Work
After I was discharged from prison, for the next six months I focused on studying the Fa. Soon I found a job in an automobile factory. I am the only practitioner there, but because I've displayed the upright behavior of a Dafa practitioner at my job, I've won the trust of my superiors and colleagues.
I understand why I work in this factory. Master's words,
"Cultivate Dafa with all your heart,
Nothing could be more important."

This is ever-present in my mind. I work silently, and do not care about any benefits or rewards. When it is not busy at work, I clarify the truth to people, and tell them how our Master teaches us to be good people, and that the standard of a good person is Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. There are only two of my colleagues who haven't quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), but they know the truth. Some of my colleagues have even taken truth-clarifying materials with them when they return to their hometowns.
Clarifying the Truth by our Righteous Thoughts and Righteous Actions
I was reported to management by someone because I was clarifying the truth. I was called to the manager's office. He asked me, "You are publicizing Falun Gong in my factory, and there are a lot of them starting to practice. Tell me, who did you tell?" Then I said to him calmly, "I am a Falun Gong practitioner. I cultivate according to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I also conduct myself this way at work." At that time I was not scared at all. My manager said it's okay and told me to go back to work.
I keep up with doing the three things every day. During the five years I've worked in this factory, I've met many people from other provinces. I have clarified the facts face to face and given them truth-clarifying materials.
There are many floating, temporary people working in my factory. I discipline myself according to Dafa and always conduct myself as Falun Dafa practitioner should. My superiors and colleagues all approve of and appreciate my work ethic. Because my manager believes in Dafa, he has more trust in me than in his relatives, and he treats me as well as he does his family. His whole family has now quit the CCP.
There are some colleagues who have just started to practice cultivation, and they've asked me to study the Fa with them when they have free time. I started a Fa-study group in our factory. Their friends and families also joined in our group and benefited from the practice. One of my colleague recovered from a disease that had tormented her for 25 years.
I was once telling a customer the facts about Falun Gong, and I gave him some truth-clarifying materials. He was really happy and took them home. However, the materials were stolen before he could finish reading them. Two months later, he came to our factory and wanted to buy an automobile. When he saw me, he immediately asked me for another set of truth-clarifying materials, which I gave him.
Walk Straight and Do Well on the Path of Cultivation
If we walk straight and do well on our paths, there is nothing that can harm us. I once wanted to tell the people in the countryside about Falun Gong, so I went to a village. As I walked towards the main room of a house. The host of the house came out and asked me who I was looking for. I said that she was the one I wanted to talk to. I told her I was a Falun Gong practitioner, and how the CCP persecutes good people. She stopped what she was doing, and invited me into her house. I told her that Falun Dafa is good, and how my family had changed since we started practicing cultivation. After two hours of truth clarifying, she told me, "I was a cadre of the production team, and I know a lot of things about the corrupted CCP. But I never fully understood how evil the CCP is!" She also showed interest in practicing Falun Dafa, and gave me her telephone number. Before leaving, she said, "My dog used to be really ferocious. It even barks at the owner if I am not home for couple of days. It's weird that it doesn't bark at you." I told her that the dog knows I am doing good deeds, so it doesn't interfere with me.
The people in the countryside are simple and honest. My mother and I often head back home very late when we go to the countryside to clarify the truth. The transportation vehicle always seems to wait for us. It's like our special car. Gradually I understood it is Master who is protecting us. If every practitioner thinks only about saving sentient beings, Master will arrange the best for us.
