(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa is immense and benevolent and Dafa disciples and all people have waited for it for thousands of years. This is the first time in human history that an opportunity to genuinely save people has been presented. Dafa is open to everybody and has no entrance examination. Therefore, people of various characters, educational backgrounds, occupations, ages, and xinxing are practicing Dafa. Master treats all practitioners exactly the same way and gives us the chance to improve, culminating in our progression towards Consummation and fulfilling our oath.
Through contact with many practitioners, I find that most of them have good inborn qualities. Before they started practicing Falun Dafa they were virtuous people. The human moral standard is declining tremendously in current society; nevertheless, they were able to maintain virtue and are good people. Especially, some more cultured practitioners knew the virtue of "gentlemen often examine themselves" and were quite modest before they practiced Falun Dafa. Since they began their cultivation, they have been able to look within according to Master's requirements and purify their minds. Their realms far exceed people who are excellent in one single area and are thus regarded as "gentlemen." When I get along with Dafa practitioners I feel very comfortable. In this environment there are no conflicts, fame or self-interest. They all examine their own shortcomings and compassionately offer precious opinions to fellow practitioners and help each other.
However, I also find that just because there is no entrance examination and we have been following the path of the Great Way with no formalities, Dafa practitioners have different xinxing levels and inborn qualities and a smaller number of practitioners' minds have not been purified by Dafa. Among them, "looking down on fellow practitioners" is a bad mindset.
"Looking down on fellow practitioners" may sound like the "diligent practitioners" feel uncomfortable with some "poorly behaved" practitioners and then have an excuse to look down on them. Actually, Master is waiting for each Dafa disciple to step out and catch up and would not like any disciple to fall behind. Even Master does not abandon any disciple, so should "diligent practitioners" look down on Master's disciples? We should first let go of the mindset of "looking down on fellow practitioners" and dig out the root of this attachment. Whether we are diligent or not should not be determined by us, but will be acknowledged by Master and meet with the standard of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
In ordinary society there are a lot of arrogant people. They are insolent and in the end bring a lot of troubles to themselves. It is because they do not know the basic principles of behaving as an upright person.
