(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of May 21, 2006, Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Yu'e from Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, and two other practitioners, Ms. Jiang Xianyi and her son, Kuo Hai, who came to Shenzhen City to visit Liu Yu'e, were arrested by the police while handing out truth-clarifying materials in Taoyuan Village, Nanshan District of Shenzhen City. They were initially detained at the First Detention Center in Nanshan District. Then Liu Yu'e and Jiang Xianyi were illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor. On June 26, Liu Yu'e and Jiang Xianyi were imprisoned at the Sanshui Womens' Forced Labor Camp in Guangdong Province.
At the forced labor camp, the guards subjected them to brainwashing, forced them to watch a video slandering Dafa and Teacher, tried to force them to write the so-called "four statements" (similar to the "three statements,") promising to give up practicing Falun Dafa, and forced them to do slave labor from the early morning until 11:00 p.m. or even midnight every day. The prison authorities also extended their terms without cause and had drug-addicted inmates monitor them.
Jiang Xianyi went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. The police forcefully inserted a tube into her esophagus many times, which caused her esophagus to bleed. Jiang Xianyi's life was in great danger due to the persecution, and the forced labor camp had to notify her family members to take her back home. Jiang Xianyi died soon after she returned home.
Liu Yu'e was also brutally persecuted in the forced labor camp. Her weight fell to less than 100 pounds, and she began having many illness symptoms due to the persecution. She was in great pain for a long time. From then and still to this day, her body temperature changes frequently. Sometimes she is very cold, and sometimes she gets very hot. Her skin is also quite dry and wrinkled.
After Liu Yu'e was persecuted at the forced labor camp for three years, she was transferred to the Nanshan District Brainwashing Center in Shenzhen City by the Nanshan District 610 Office on March 31, 2009, where she continued to suffer persecution. She was not released until May.
After she was released, the local Lilin Residential Committee frequently went to her home to harass her and also forced the family to bring her to the brainwashing sessions hosted by the residential committee. Liu Yu'e firmly resisted their harassment and they had to restrain themselves a little.
Before Liu Yu'e started to practice Falun Dafa, she had many diseases. When she started practicing Falun Dafa in January 2006, her diseases soon disappeared completely. She followed the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to be a good person. This not only resulted in her body becoming healthy, but her mind was also purified.
