(Clearwisdom.net) A few days ago, my 50-year-old boss, Zong Ming, talked to his employees about the expression, "Those who know that times are changing are wise."
Zong Ming is a successful businessman who often drives his luxury car to different cities to do business. He saw so many car accidents on the highways that eventually he became scared of driving on the highway, and this diminished his motivation to continue his business. A Falun Dafa practitioner told him, "You will be protected for reciting the words 'Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.'" The practitioner also helped Zong Ming withdraw from the Youth League and the Young Pioneers, both affiliated with the Chinese Communist Party, that he had joined almost 30 years ago.
Every morning after he gets out of bed but before he leaves home, Zong Ming will recite these words sincerely, "Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good." Doing this, he feels secure and believes that his day will go smoothly. He said, "This is called, 'Those who know that times are changing are wise.'"
Zong Ming's new supervisor tried to convince him to join the Chinese Communist Party by promising him a higher position as soon as he did. Zong Ming refused, saying, "Confucius said, 'Righteous men do not join any party.' I am not interested in the CCP." Zong Ming believes that withdrawing from the CCP and its organizations is the thing to do these days and that wise men will recognize that times are changing. He told his friends and family in private, "The CCP only suppresses Chinese people; it would be a shame to become a member of it."
Once he was driving his car and tried to stop at the stop sign of a railway crossing, but the road was so slippery that his car went out of control and slid into the gate of a community courtyard. When he heard the loud crash of the car hitting the gate, Zong Ming said to himself, "Such bad luck! Not only will I have to pay for repairing the gate, but the car is also ruined." However, when he got out and went up to the gate to take a look, he could not believe his eyes--neither the gate nor the car were damaged at all, not even a scratch!
