(Clearwisdom.net) I began to practice Falun Gong on April 8, 1999. I started practicing because I wanted to heal my illnesses. I had serious kidney problems, gynecological diseases and anemia. As a result of the practice, I have improved greatly. My entire family saw that all my illnesses were healed and they all began to practice Falun Gong. It was such a wonderful scene when we did the exercises together. My five-year-old son, with his round face and chubby hands, looked so cute doing the movements. My husband and eldest son were doing the sitting meditation and their legs sticking up when they first started. Thereafter, their legs were able to level out as they did the meditation. My entire family sat in a circle and looked very peaceful and in harmony along with the graceful and peaceful exercise music.

However, this situation did not last very long. After a short while, the evil old forces began to carry out their persecution and we were not allowed to practice publicly anymore. Given the fact that Teacher and Dafa were wronged and we are practitioners who have benefited from Dafa, how could we not safeguard the Fa? Therefore, many practitioners took the initiative in going to Beijing or to each provincial government to validate the Fa and clarify the truth. However, I saw others being arrested and persecuted and I had only just began my cultivation. I did not have an in-depth understanding based on the Fa. Therefore, I thought that if I were to go and validate the Fa, I would certainly be shot by the government, just as what they did to the students during the Tiananmen Square Massacre on June 4, 1989.

However, I had very strong righteous thoughts. In order to safeguard Dafa, I knew I could not be afraid of death. When we were ready to go to Beijing, the roads there were blocked, so we instead went to the provincial government to clarify the truth in order to restore our legitimate cultivation environment.

All of us had our illnesses healed through practicing Falun Gong. If we were not allowed to practice anymore, would we all have a relapse? Soon enough, we were arrested and many practitioners from other provinces were all held in a big net comprised of iron wires. At that time, my celestial eye was open and I saw Teacher's halo surrounding the big iron net while a big Falun was shielding practitioners from the baking sun. It kept rotating non-stop. At that time, I realized that the notions I had about being shot to death were not right. As a matter of fact, Teacher was protecting all of us.

After we were taken back to the local police bureau, we were dispatched home. I was blacklisted by the evil Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and my phone was bugged. I was under surveillance by the CCP as well.

However, I didn't care about that and I still went to the street to clarify the truth. If anyone attacked Dafa, I would clarify the truth to them and safeguard Dafa. At that time though, I was not rational or mature enough, so I often had arguments with people and it would end in an unpleasant way.

My life was rebuilt by Dafa. I was formerly timid and very attached to my ego but I became a person without fear at all.

From that point on, I have been clarifying the truth to people in person. In such an environment, many practitioners were not courageous enough to step forward. They thought that if they were arrested or persecuted, it would make them lose face. Understanding their fears, I gave them Teacher's new scriptures and talked them into stepping forward. Through studying the Fa, they all managed to step forward. They also set up a Fa-study group and soon enough, they set up a materials printing center and began to hand out truth-clarification materials. With continuous truth-clarification, new practitioners have emerged and our Fa-study group has become a land of purity--studying the Fa and doing the exercises are now an open secret.

Before, I was very anxious to clarify the truth to people because I always wanted to gain the upper hand in arguments with people; it did not turn out very well. Through continuous Fa-study, I came to understand that I needed to "Validate the Fa with rationality, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and save people with mercy." I have managed to help 1,000 to 2,000 people with the "Three Withdrawals" [withdrawal from the CCP and its affiliated organizations: the Communist Youth League and the Young Pioneers] and I also helped other practitioners step forward as well. We worked with each other and helped a few thousand people quit the Party and its affiliated organizations. Besides that, I gave over 20 copies of Zhuan Falun away. For people who had received the book, some of them remained diligent in their cultivation and are able to keep up with the Fa-rectification process. We have been handing out the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and clarifying the truth, and are able to keep up with the Fa-rectification process solidly.

As long as something is beneficial to Dafa, I'd take my initiative in doing it, such as Fa-study, memorizing and reciting the Fa, making truth-clarification materials, handing out materials, and hanging up banners in public places. One time, I went with another practitioner and we managed to hang a banner at a very popular tourist attraction, even though we were surrounded by police officers. We put up self-adhesive posters and made colorful truth-clarification banners, hanging them near roads so that pedestrians could see them.

Everything we do is something that we should do. There are some practitioners who have slacked off a little but are there more practitioners being diligent? Some practitioners let go of life and death when they went to Tiananmen Square, shouting "Falun Dafa is wonderful!" Their voices broke through the clouds, shook the universe, and shocked the evil. Some practitioners have traveled great distances and helped over 10,000 people with the "Three Withdrawals." Some were extremely solid while the evil cruelly persecuted them--they are as solid as diamond.

My personal understanding is that as long as you follow what Teacher says and do the Three Things well, your cultivation path will be an upright and smooth one.
