(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 6 provinces. In this report, 8 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 8 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Qinghua Being Held in Dabei Prison
Ms. Zhang Qinghua is currently being tortured inside the Dabei Prison. She is emaciated and the guards have denied family visits.
2. [Hulin City, Liaoning Province] Police Arrest Mr. Ma Lijun
On February 4, 2009, two police officers arrested Mr. Ma Lijun at his home.
3. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Lili Tortured
Ms. Wang Lili was an English teacher at the Experimental School in Dongguan Village, Mengyin Town, Mengyin County. The police arrested her and locked her in the Linyi Brainwashing Center and Detention Center. The guards tortured her by pouring cold water on her naked body.
4. [Penglai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xiu Yanpeng Goes on Hunger Strike
The police arrested Ms. Xiu Yanpeng at her home on May 15, 2008. Ms. Xiu was sentenced to four years. She is now being tortured in the Jinan Prison. Ms. Xiu refused to cooperate with the prison guards and went on a hunger strike.
5. [Shandong Province] Practitioners Illegally Detained in Shandong Women's Prison
More than 200 practitioners are currently being detained in the Shandong Women's Prison.
6. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Sang Longju Arrested
Ms. Sang Longju is from Jiujiang City. On the evening of January 25, 2009, Ms. Sang went to the Jiujiang City Second Power Plant to post fliers with information about the persecution of Falun Gong. Two power plant staff arrested her, and she is now locked up in a detention center.
In 2001, police officer Wang Yuanping from the Xunyang District Public Safety Bureau extorted 10,000 yuan from Ms. Sang's family after she was arrested.

7. [Chongqing City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Tortured in Forced Labor Camp
On December 23, 2008, Ms. Fu Junguang, Ms. Tian Rongxiu, Ms. Chen Tingfen, and Ms. Zhou Yirong from Dadukou District went to Banan District to expose the persecution of Falun Gong. Officers from the Jielong Town Police Station unlawfully arrested them and locked them in the Banan District Detention Center. Ms. Chen has been sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor and Ms. Fu, Ms. Tian, and Ms. Zhou each received a year. They have been sent to the Chongqing Women's Forced Labor Camp.
8. [Hubei Province] Mr. Gong Yibin Sent to Tumuji Forced Labor Camp in Inner Mongolia
Mr. Gong Yibin is from Hubei and used to work as a senior engineer in the 3rd factory of the China Petroleum Compressor Manufacturing Company. On December 5, 2008, Ms. Gong went to Tiananmen Square in Beijing, and the police illegally searched and arrested him. He was put in the Dongcheng District Detention Center in Beijing and sentenced to two years of forced labor on December 23. He was taken to Tumuji Forced Labor Camp in Inner Mongolia.

9. [Mengzi County, Yunnan Province] Ms. He Yunchun Arrested Again
On the evening of January 24, 2009, an agent from the Honghezhou 610 Office arrested Ms. He Yunchun at her home for the second time.
10. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Lin Yongxu and Wife Arrested in Beijing
On February 2, 2009, Mr. and Ms. Lin Yongxu returned to Beijing from Liaoning Province. The police in Beijing arrested them before they arrived home.
11. [Beipiao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Tian Fengjiang Arrested
At 10 a.m. on February 4, 2009, Ms. Tian Fengjiang from Shanzui Village, Xiguan Town, Beipiao City was at home when Sun Qiang, head of the Xiguan Town Police Station, and other officers arrested her.

On January 26, 2009, Mr. Wang Guocai and Ms. Xiaoshi were arrested.
13. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wang Xinqing Arrested
On January 27, 2009, Mr. Wang Xinqing from Chengdu City left home to expose the persecution of Falun Gong. Police from the Changbei Police Station in Chengdu City arrested him and illegally searched his home. The police confiscated Mr. Wang's Falun Dafa books. Now Mr. Wang is being tortured in a brainwashing center.
