(Clearwisdom.net) On February 2, the Divine Performing Arts (DPA) New York Company staged the Chinese New Year Splendor in Dallas, Texas. The performance was warmly welcomed by the audience.
One businessman said he liked every number in the show. "I always thought the piece I just saw was the best, but the next one was always better. I never expected any show to make me keep applauding," he said.
He said the show beautifully demonstrated Chinese history and culture, and was very moving. He felt that the show is beneficial to one's spirit, and gives people a feeling of hope. "There are many problems in society. I think many answers were given in this show," he said.
He also said that that he could sense the high moral standard of the DPA artists, because only very noble people could create and perform such wonderful pieces.
Shilip, a scientist, had a similar feeling. She expressed that the DPA show is the best show she had ever seen. She could clearly sense the benevolent energy in the show, which brought her a sense of peacefulness. She could not help crying during the show. "The show brings people hope, which is important especially in such an unusual period," she said.
A dance teacher at the University of Texas was very excited by the show. "The dancers were great. The music is like a dream. The whole show is a feast. The rich movement in Chinese dance expresses rich messages," she said. She liked the Yi style dance the most and she also liked the background designs.
Her husband was deeply touched by the dance that depicted the persecution of Falun Gong in contemporary China. "I cried. We have children too. I can sense the sadness of that family. The actors were great. Their performances were touching. They brought me into the story," he said.
His wife said that the Communist Party cannot tolerate people believing in God. But no matter what, people will never give up their spiritual belief. "China has a history of 5,000 years, and the Communist Party only governed China for a few decades. How could it completely ruin such a spectacular culture?" she said.
Mr. Reilly came to the show with his whole family. They all enjoyed it very much. They were totally into it, and felt the happiness and sadness conveyed in each of the stories. Mr. Reilly's mother said that her impression of the show is that it brought brightness and hope.
