March 10, 2009 |   By Clearwisdom Reporters Wang Qinghan and Li Yuan from Taichung Taiwan

(Clearwisdom.net) The Divine Performing Arts International Company's third stop in Taiwan was in Taichung City the evening of March 4, 2009, at National Chung Hsing University's Hui-Sun Auditorium. The show deeply touched the hearts of all the audience members, including politicians, businessmen, and artists. They were amazed at the world class performance and inspired by the essence of traditional Chinese culture presented by DPA. Many celebrities from Taipei were interested in attending the show after hearing good things about it. They said they felt that DPA is truly educational and uplifting.

TV Station Producer: DPA reached the goal of touching people's hearts

Mr. Lu Yebin, a producer from the Taiwan FTV Station, was curious why DPA could attract such a large audience. After seeing the show, he fully understood, and said, "The DPA show touched people's hearts with music, dance, movement, and body language, combined with sound effects and a high-tech backdrop. The show truly reaches the goal of educating and touching people's hearts."

Mr. Lu Yebin, producer from Taiwan FTV Station

Mr. Lu Yebin is the producer of a popular Taiwan TV series "No Fuss among Relatives." He has also produced many stories about China's eccentric monk Ji Gong. On the evening of March 4, he traveled from Taipei to Taichung to see the show. He said that ordinary TV series attract people with their subject matter, but that DPA programs directly teach people the importance of belief and morality. He said, "I was very impressed by the program 'Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution.' I can feel that it teaches people to be good and kind. The program 'Monk Ji Gong Abducts the Bride' helps people appreciate his painstaking effort to save those villagers and his greatness. The whole show is truly amazing!"

Mr. Lu Yebin also emphasized the effect of the high-tech backdrops. He felt that the whole program together with the backdrop gave people the impression of being at the scene where the stories happened, "It was as if we were watching a movie."

Mr. Lu said with great sincerity, "The DPA teaches people to believe in gods and to be good people."

Actress: Its perfection is beyond words.

Actress Yue Hong from the Taiwan FTV Station came with the producer to watch the show. She said that the whole show was so perfect that it was hard to find the right words to describe it. She could only say, "It was perfect. Every program and every dance had its special meaning."

Yue Hong, a Taiwanese actress, TV host and singer

Ms. Yue felt that the DPA show not only had beautiful dances and was very pleasant to see, but also had very enriching spiritual content, filling people's hearts. She said, "It was like watching a grand historical drama, truly magical. Especially how they combined the backdrops and the performances so well, so seamlessly, and also tightly connected with the audience. Their dedication and devotion are remarkable."

Ms. Yue, a renowned TV actress, has participated in numerous TV shows, including the popular series "No Fuss Among Relatives." Ms. Yue is multi-talented and has also performed in several movies, produced vocal recordings, and has hosted TV programs. She enjoyed every DPA program thoroughly. Mulan's loyalty to her country and kindness to her father in the dance drama "Mulan Joins the Battle" touched her the most. Ms. Yue also highly praised the sopranos and tenors. She was also extremely impressed with the colors of the costumes. She noticed that in the dance "The Mystical Phoenix," even though there were no other stage props except the costumes, the audience was very deeply impressed. She said, "I liked the colors in 'The Mystical Phoenix' the best. The arrangement of the colors was very three-dimensional, bright, and mysterious. It is not easy to be colorful and mysterious at the same time."

Ms. Yue understands that it is extremely difficult to touch an audience through a stage performance. Although the DPA dancers are all very young, she thought they presented the essence of traditional Chinese culture very well. "I am truly amazed, and feel that they are much better than me. I feel rather ashamed compared with them."

Ms. Yue thought that the costumes in every program were unique, and presented the characteristics of each ethnic group through bright colors. "Their whole performance has no weak points. I was very impressed with 'Mulan Joins the Battle.' When Mulan saw her father's royal order, she decided to join the army for her father. The firmness and determination on her face touched me--the whole dance moved me deeply.

"It is very rare to see such a great performance, and I watched it very carefully. It has been such a worthwhile trip."
