Lawyer and Percussionist Happy "To Hear Chinese Music"
Anthony Braun, a lawyer and percussionist attended the show with his family. He was very impressed, saying, "Just amazing! I'm just wondering how they keep it up. All the flips and the kicks and all that sort of stuff. It was incredible. Amazing fitness."

Being a drummer, Mr. Braun was partial to the opening Chinese drum performance, "The Five Millennia Begins." He excitedly exclaimed, "Oh, it's fantastic! I really liked that sequence when they wheeled the drums out and all the girls were drumming. I thought it was great!"
He also enjoyed the piece "Legend of the Brush." "I liked the special effects of him coming down on the screen and then he just popped up right in place behind the steps. I thought that was really good," said Mr. Braun.
He felt that the emcees--through their gentle humor-- added a nice touch to the show. "Oh they were really good too. They were entertaining. Broke it up a little bit, so that was good," he said.
Multicultural Art Promoters: "Elegant! Primo!"
Multicultural art promoters Kimiora Taha and Hariata Butler were in the audience and were impressed with Shen Yun's presentation. "Primo!" said Hariata. "Elegant!" said Kimiora. "I thought it was colourful, elegant, awesome, really awesome," added Kimiora.

Kimiora particularly liked the "The Udumbara's Bloom" performance, saying, "The flower that only comes out every three thousand years, it's just elegant and nice."
Hariata loved the color and the dancing, saying, "just everything was good." She also commented on the three-dimensional backdrops. "It was awesome, even the way it moved and the angel came down and then they all went back up. It was cool," she said.
Company Executive: Shen Yun "Honest and Truthful"
Mr. Connell, a construction company executive, who attended the show with his family, thought the performances were "spectacular!" "I thought it was very enlivening. It's a pity that more Westerners do not understand more Chinese heritage and culture."

Mr. Connell said, "The heritage of China over 5,000 years is so diverse and so enlightening, it's spectacular."
A frequent visitor to China, Mr. Connell felt that China's history has been somewhat manipulated and distorted. "I've never seen anything as honest as this [Shen Yun] before. I thought this was more honest and truthful."
Several elements of the show especially appealed to Mr. Connell. "I liked the costumes. I thought the color was spectacular. The spiritual components of it I thought were intriguing, and of course the movement--the dance--was spectacular."
Commenting on Shen Yun performing in Australia, he said, "I think it should come frequently, very frequently. I think people should come along and see it as often as possible. I recommend it to all audiences."
