(Clearwisdom.net) Shen Yun Performing Arts continues to be welcomed with enthusiastic applause from captivated audiences at Auckland's ABS Theatre. Mr. Jia, a Chinese refugee now living in Auckland and founder of the China Democratic Federal Republic, had the highest praise for Shen Yun, saying the show "is the thing the Chinese people have waited a long time for!"

Mr. Jia, who left China two years ago seeking political asylum, said he had been hoping to see Shen Yun after he had heard about it while still living in China. He greatly enjoyed being able to see the show live, a performance that he would not have been able to see in China.

He said that watching Shen Yun was one of his biggest dreams come true. Mr. Jia found it difficult to express his excitement and praise for the show, "The performance of Shen Yun, the existence of the Shen Yun performances is a miracle by itself."

Mr. Jia elaborated, saying, "Due to the restrictions of the Chinese Communist Party, the entertainment programs in mainland China have long lost their admirable status. Shen Yun Performing Arts is what the Chinese [people] are truly waiting for.

"This sort of content [divine culture] is strictly prohibited and has not been seen under the Chinese Communist Party's rule in the last 60 years. I think this show [Shen Yun] should be performed in China--let the Chinese [people] come and watch it, and the result will be miraculous and unimaginable. I think this is also the thing Chinese people have waited a long time for."

Mr. Jia felt that seeing Shen Yun resulted in an indescribable feeling. "Each time a performance ends, it gives you a feeling like you are in the heavens, like heaven and human have merged into one, and it gives people a relaxed and radiant feeling. It gives you lots of energy, lots of wisdom, and lots of imagination."

In Mr. Jia's opinion, "The traditional Chinese culture which the performances were based on was passed down to the human world from divine beings. It is an incredible creation that the world has never seen before.

"Shen Yun Performing Arts will bring Gods to everyone in the world. Deliver it to every corner! This is a magnificent achievement. It is a miracle!"

Chinese Dancer: "Shen Yun Is Perfect"

Mrs. Xie, a Chinese dancer, attended Thursday's performance with her husband and their friend, and they all loved what they experienced. "The performance is wonderful, it is perfect!" she said.

Mrs. Xie, a Chinese dancer

Mrs. Xie is a professional dancer who has performed in the Aotea Centre many times She thought that the Shen Yun dancers' abilities were excellent. "Oh, they are much better than me," she exclaimed.

She elaborated, saying, "My friends, they also see my performances, too, so they know a little bit about Chinese dance. But tonight was wonderful Nobody can do better than they. Well done!"

Mr. Xie, a builder, said, "I found it [Shen Yun] very, very, good--it just makes you feel so good. I don't know ... just really nice. It makes your soul very warm, I would say. Yes, it's really good."

The Xie's friend also highly praised the performance. "It was quite powerful and colorful." He added that he particularly liked the backdrops, where heavenly beings appear to come to earth and then ascend into the heavens again. "There were a couple of pieces that were quite outstanding, especially the connection with the [backdrop] ... it was unbelievable."

Both Mr. and Mrs. Xie were profoundly touched by Shen Yun. Mr. Xie said, "Yes, [this performance] really warms up your soul, that's all I can say. It makes you feel very good."

Chinese Historian: "It Really Touched Our Hearts!"

Mr. Liew, a historian who taught Chinese history, joined enthusiastic audiences attending Thursday evening's performance. From his perspective as a historian knowledgeable about China, Mr. Liew said, "I think that the message is that China has a long history, a long history of culture, song, and dance. Classical dance is really impressive and, generally speaking, I think the performances are really high standard."

He also said, "The singers sound very well trained; I think they are comparable to any other first class singers in the world."

Mr. Liew felt the richness of this heritage shining through the performances. He said he particularly noticed it in the music: "The music was certainly classical Chinese music. It really touched our hearts."

In a portrayal of modern China, one dance titled "Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution" depicts the persecution of a father for practicing Falun Gong. Reflecting on the performance and the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, Mr Liew said, "Yes, indeed. Falun Gong suffers a lot of persecution in China."

He said, "I would say that it is a very high standard of performance and that it is well worth attending. It really touched our hearts."
