(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Yu Yijia came to the Shen Yun Performing Arts' show in Sydney on April 23. Ms. Yu was a well-known singer in China. She is still active on stage in Australia. She highly praised the show, saying, "The dancers' movements were natural and light. The dances were excellent. I was surprised that the dances were traditional Chinese art, but the background music had the components of Western instruments."
Ms. Yu was also impressed with the costumes and color designs. "The background scene designs brought us back to the old times. The scenes were like something from a dream. Very beautiful," she said.
Ms. Zheng is a successful businesswoman in China. Her son goes to high school in Sydney. She came to visit her son and heard about the Shen Yun performance. She changed her airplane ticket back to China so that she could come to the show.
"I've seen a lot shows in China, but Shen Yun is completely different," Ms. Zheng said. "The traditional Chinese dances are full of energy, and have a life of their own. The background designs were really special. The performers touched the audience with their pure hearts. I understood the messages they tried to pass on. They devoted themselves into the dance. The dancers exposed the persecution of Falun Gong through art, which made it easier for people to understand. I was deeply touched by their body language. The dances showed that if everybody stands together against the persecution, then the persecution will be stopped," Ms. Zheng said. "I like the performances depicting Buddha and other heavenly beings in the show. It is very good."
Lidia, who moved to Australia from China not long ago, came to the show with her sister and brother-in-law. She started learning Chinese dance when she was five. The rich content of the show moved her. She praised the costumes and colors. Although she has seen and performed in many shows, Shen Yun left her with a very deep impression.
"One cannot dance without music. Only with good music, can dancers express themselves well. Shen Yun did a very good job. The dancers expressed the messages very well. I am slightly envious of them and was surprised by them too," she added.
Lidia's brother-in-law came to Australia 20 years ago, and owns a company. He said that the beginning of the show was stunning and the end had profound content. "It was better than my expectation. I was surprised that the show demonstrated the Chinese culture so well. It is precious and complex. The show is educational and moving. I will come again next year, and I will recommend it to my friends."
