"I was truly impressed. Especially the costumes and the atmosphere that was emphasized by the music, [it] created a vibrant atmosphere. All positive influences came forth through the dances and everything was absolutely beautiful," she said.
Ms. Chivrova was deeply touched by the performance, "I found it very good, especially the atmosphere and the charisma. I liked it very much. It deeply touched me."
She was also very moved by the dances, "Heaven Awaits us Despite Persecution" and "Dignity and Compassion" about Falun Dafa, a spiritual discipline that is currently being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime. "Yes, it is not good at all what goes on in China. Yes, this touches one's inner core when one sees it."
Ms. Chivrova also said, "I very much enjoyed the costumes, the fans and the long sleeves. Everything was wonderful and beautiful to behold."
Cabaret Artist: "Extraordinary!"
Mr. Stefan Haider, a solo cabaret artist who travels presently throughout Austria with his show Plan B, was among the appreciative audience members. "An extraordinary evening today! I have never seen something like this. A completely different culture--something completely different in this performance--something I have never seen before," said Mr. Haider excitedly.

Mr. Haider already had a connection to ancient Chinese culture, because he had studied its classical religions. "I have occupied myself quite a bit with Chinese religions. I studied theology. That is why the texts [on the backdrop of the show] rather interested me, the texts that blended into the background," he said.
"It was very interesting, very impressive how the dancers glide over the stage and how all the lights and colors work together--It was very impressive ... and something totally different," he concluded.
Pianist: Shen Yun's Music Is Harmonious and Calm
For Ms. Antunes, seeing a live orchestra accompanying Shen Yun Performing Arts' show in Vienna was a special treat.
Ms. Antunes, a Brazilian pianist currently studying in Vienna, said that with her musical background, she could appreciate the harmonious sounds of both traditional Chinese and Western instruments that complemented the classical Chinese dance performances throughout the show. "It created a totally different atmosphere," she said.
Ms. Antunes's comments come from a discerning musical ear. She is able to identify the differences between Chinese and Western instruments. "The instruments are easy to tell apart--hearing a violin means Western music, different from the Chinese instruments. The tone is completely different and creates a different mood."
"It creates a totally different atmosphere. Yes, it is discernible. Also when listening to the instruments one can discern the different instruments, it is easily discernible. ... Also, one can discern differences from the atmosphere. The environment is much calmer, it is just totally different!" Ms. Antunes said.
