(Clearwisdom.net) At around 7 a.m. on May 25, 2009, officers from the Putuo District Police Department and the 610 Office deceived 78-year-old Ms. Yan to come out of her house, then ransacked her home, took her cell phone, computer, and printer, and detained her for more than 30 hours. They released her after extorting 2000 yuan, and declared they would put her under "strict monitoring" for one year.
On the same morning, these officers arrested Ms. Guo from her home located in the Jiameifang neighborhood on Tongchuan Street. Ms. Guo is in her seventies and had just checked out of the hospital. The police ransacked her home, detained her, then went to ransack her two sisters' homes located in the seventh block of Zhenguangxincun Neighborhood on Tongchuan Street. Ms. Guo's two younger sisters, Ms. Guo Yuefen and Ms. Guo Yuefang, are both in their sixties, and this is their second time being arrested and detained. They have both served two years of forced labor.
Another practitioner, Ms. Ying Jue, in her thirties, went to visit Ms. Guo Yuefang on May 25 and was arrested with her. The officers tried to ransack her home, but they were resisted by her family. These villainous officers ordered locksmith Cao Kai and others to open her door at 10 p.m. that day and forcibly ransacked her home.
Another practitioner, Ms. Wang Renxiang, was also arrested while visiting Ms. Guo Yuefang on the morning of May 25. Ms. Wang Renxiang is in her sixties, and this is the fourth time she has been arrested. Her husband strongly resisted the police while they were ransacking their home. The police threatened to arrest him as well.
The above five practitioners are all detained in the Putuo District Detention Center.
