(Clearwisdom.net) The training team of the Shandong Province Women's Prison is the center for brainwashing and brutally torturing newly detained Falun Gong practitioners. The guards there have abused and beat practitioners at will, and cruel torture takes place constantly. Falun Gong practitioners are further tortured in the subsections. The guards often instigated criminals to monitor and beat practitioners. The guards reduced the sentences of those criminals who tortured practitioners who were steadfast in their belief. Therefore, criminals were instigated to insanely abuse practitioners in order to get further sentence reduction. The following are some cases:
1. Maltreatment of Practitioner Wang Hongyu from Longkou City, Shandong Province
Ms. Wang Hongyu was tortured by the chief guard Xue and eight other "transformed" practitioners, Chou Xiuxin, Song Qiai, Zhao Yun, Qiao Ruimei, Duan Hongli and others, simply because she did not give up her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and refused to slander the founder of Falun Gong. Her legs were tied to two chairs and were not released even when she was having meals or needed to go to the bathroom; thus she had to excrete in her pants. She was served only three meals within three days. Failing to fulfill their purpose, they handcuffed her behind her back for eight hours and did not give her any breaks or meals, nor did they allow her to sleep. (Ms. Wang's legs were disabled due to torture from police officers in Longkou City.) They tortured her several times in this way.
Later, Ms. Wang Hongyu was taken to the sixth ward of the prison. Because she did not give up her belief, guards Deng Yixia and Zheng Li tortured her again on December 28, 2008. They instigated criminal inmate Dong Hua to beat Wang violently. In April, when Ms. Wang spoke to practitioner Zhang Zhigang, it was noticed by Dong Hua and she was abused and beaten again. The guards ignored this abuse.
While in the sixth ward, Ms. Wang was monitored around the clock. No matter how hard she worked, she was unable to get a sentence reduction, because she refused to slander the founder of Falun Gong.
2. Maltreatment of Practitioner Ms. Liu Qingmai from Weifang City, Shandong Province
Because of her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, Ms. Liu Qingmai was severely tortured during her detention. The chief guard Xue instigated Chou Xiuxin and five other "transformed" practitioners to torture Ms. Liu. As a result, she was badly cut up and became mentally unstable due to being beaten fiercely. While she was detained in the sixth subsection, and because of her practicing the exercises in the prison, Ms. Liu's clothes were stripped off of her and she was beaten until her body was covered with black and violet bruises. Additionally, the guards forced her to sit on the icy cold floor every night. Even some prisoners were shocked by the evil deeds Mei Gui and Wang Hongjie committed against practitioners, and felt that it was too cruel.
