(Clearwisdom.net) I am a veteran practitioner who obtained the "Fa" in 1996. I live in the countryside of Hebei Province. My aunt and her family live in the capital city of the province and they were all members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). I am a Falun Dafa practitioner in the Fa-rectification period, and as such, have the mission and responsibility of assisting Master with the Fa-rectification and saving sentient beings. Master said,
"Let me tell you, when this Fa-rectification matter is over, humankind will enter the next stage, and those people and beings who in their minds think that the Great Fa of the cosmos isn't good will be the first weeded out." ("Teaching the Fa at the Great Lakes Fa Conference in North America").
I clearly understood that raising people's awareness, persuading them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, and saving sentient beings were the most urgent things to do. In November 2006, I had an opportunity to go to the provincial capital to visit my relatives, and I took it as Master's arrangement.
I believed I must help them understand that Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good, and I must encourage them to renounce their CCP membership. I explained to them excitedly how good Falun Dafa is, how the evil party defamed Dafa, and that the party will receive heavenly retribution. However, after hearing my explanation, my uncle-in-law said, "As a village woman, to take good care of your husband and children is your duty. Don't get involved in politics." After hearing this, my self-esteem was hurt, and I was full of resentment. I thought to myself, "I came here from far away just to save you folks, but instead of being grateful, you accuse me of wrongdoing. I won't care about you any more. Since there are Dafa practitioners in your military academy, they can save you."
I came back from the provincial capital in low spirits. I complained to a fellow practitioner about this. She said, "Was it your uncle-in-law that said the hurtful words? No. It was the Communist evil specter, the dark minions, and rotten demons behind him. We are up against them. You see that your human notions, such as self-esteem and resentment, were fully exposed by this experience. How can you save him with your human notions? Don't just regard him as one of your relatives, rather, regard him as one of Master's relatives; as one of your own sentient beings that need to be saved."
In "Touring North America to Teach the Fa," Master said,
"If they really correspond to gigantic cosmic bodies, then when you clarify the truth to one of them you're rescuing a gigantic cosmic body, a gigantic group of beings, and you are rescuing a Lord, or a King."
Master's lecture made me feel the importance of clarifying the truth and saving sentient beings. I also felt the great responsibility that Dafa practitioners have undertaken. I realized that I should not ignore the sentient beings' lives for the sake of my own self-esteem. I should discard all human mentalities, such as self-esteem, resentment, anxiety, and affection among family members, and save sentient beings with a benevolent compassion and peaceful state of mind.
In September, 2007, our revered Master arranged another opportunity for me to visit the provincial capital. My mother was also staying there. As soon as I entered the room, she pulled me into the bathroom, clearly very nervous. She begged me, "This time, please don't mention Falun Gong at all. Everyone is scared in this family when this (Falun Gong) is mentioned. The army has arrested a lot of people, and families have been broken up just because of this practice......" Suddenly I didn't know what to do. I wanted to help them heart and soul, but they were too scared to hear the truth and didn't understand what I did for them at all. What could I do?
I left for home without doing anything. When I mentioned this to a fellow practitioner, the practitioner said, " It is not because they had fear, but because you were afraid of losing your reputation. You want to be a good person among everyday people, and you regard your reputation as more important than the lives of sentient beings. Fear is an obstacle on the way to becoming immortal." Master said:
"People's ability to understand things, or lack thereof, and sentient beings' different thoughts and views on this, have become challenges for you as you validate the Fa and save the sentient beings of this world. But regardless of how they have behaved, we still need to save them, for their lack of understanding is on account of their being lost in delusion. They cause some challenges for Dafa disciples because they cannot see things as they really are. Whatever their reason for coming here millennia or eons ago, they have, all the same, been awaiting this final time." ("Fa Teaching at the 2008 New York Conference").
This Fa taught by Master revived my courage to save sentient beings. I knew that I must abandon fear and all my human mentalities, and save sentient beings steadily and dauntlessly, with a pure state of mind.
In October, 2008, our revered Master gave me a third opportunity to visit the provincial capital. Looking back at my previous two failures, I could see that they were both caused by my human mentality. It was nearing the end of self-cultivation, and there was no time to wait. Since Master obliged me with this opportunity, not only to cultivate myself, but also to save sentient beings, I knew that I must seize this good but fleeting opportunity. Before I started off, I recited some of the sentences in Master's "Also in a Few Words" (Essentials for Further Advancement II ) again and again,
"Indestructible righteous faith in the cosmos's Truth forms benevolent Dafa disciples' rock-solid, Diamond-Like Bodies, it frightens all evil, and the light of Truth it emanates makes the unrighteous elements in all beings' thoughts disintegrate."
Having practiced Falun Gong for more than ten years, it was now time for me to send forth powerful righteous thoughts, have strong Fa-power and display my supernormal capabilities. As long as my thoughts, my speech and actions place Dafa and the wish to save sentient beings above all else, Master and all the gods will endow me with boundless wisdom and power.
I held a thought: "Wherever I go, I will validate Dafa and save sentient beings. No matter how everyday people look at me or talk about me, I should truly be compassionate to them." Since starting off at 5:00 am.., I was clarifying the truth and sending forth righteous thoughts all the way to my relatives' home, fully displaying Dafa disciples' grace. I met my uncle-in-law, when my body and mind were totally assimilated into the Fa, all my human mentalities were gone, and my righteous thoughts were powerful.
After only a few words, he agreed to renounce his membership from the CCP and its affiliated organizations without any hesitation. He also agreed that Falun Gong is indeed righteous.
"Cultivation depends on one's own efforts, while the transformation of gong is done by one's master."
It turned out that Master had been waiting for me to upgrade my xinxing, and for my side which has cultivated well to become more powerful.
