Ms. Yu Jie was arrested on January 6, 2010, and is now held at the Yaojia Detention Center.
2. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Xia Jianguo Arrested
Mr. Xia Jianguo from Nanjing, in his 40s, was arrested on April 30, 2009, at his friend's home in Yaohuamen, the Qixia District. Nanjing police and the Qixia District 610 Office agents made the arrest. He was incarcerated at the Nanjing City Brainwashing Center for over six months until recently, followed by a one-year forced labor term and transported to the Fangqiang Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Xie Chunlan stood trial at 9:30 a.m. on January 13, 2010.

Lixia District Court officials are scheduled to try Ms. Fang Xiuzhen at 2:00 p.m. on January 15, 2010.
5. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Yulian Arrested
Ms. Li Yulian from Qiannan Village, Shimenzhai, Funing County, was arrested on the morning of December 8, 2009, as she talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home. She is now held in custody in Funing County.
6. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Lixin Arrested
Shuini Police Station officer Shen Gang and others broke into Mr. Li Lixin's home at 11:00 p.m. on December 8, 2009. They ransacked it, confiscated personal belongings, and took Mr. Li to the Huludao City Detention Center where he remained for 15 days. Mr. Li returned home on the afternoon of December 23, 2009. The confiscated items have not been returned.

Ms. Wei Maoxia and her son, Mr. Zhang Chao, are being held in the Yanzhou Detention Center.

Ms. Jiang Yueling, 45, was arrested on her way to work on the morning of April 27, 2009. Leshan City State Security Division officers made the arrest. They also ransacked her home. Ms. Jiang was sentenced to nine years in prison after having been held in the Shizhushan Detention Center in Leshan City for over a year. She is incarcerated in the Yangma Town Women's Prison in Jianyang City.

Shou County Court officials were scheduled to try Mr. Li Tianjing at 8:40 a.m. on January 15, 2010.
11. [Jilin Province] Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp Officials Grossly Abuse Ms. Chen Hongyu
Ms. Chen Hongyu from Meihekou was arrested in April 2009 and sent to the Jilin Province Women's Forced Labor Camp (also known as Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp) in Changchun City. Ms. Chen refused to write the "five statements (similar to the three statements) to give up Falun Gong practice. Division 6 head Ding Caihong and others then inserted an electric baton into Ms. Chen's mouth and hung her up with only her toes touching the ground. They let her down only at the noon and evening meal times but left her hanging until midnight. Drug offenders and former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray often beat Ms. Chen.
12. [Qingyun, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Zhizun Arrested
Qingyun 610 Office agents broke into Ms. Liu Zhizun's home at noon on January 6, 2010, searched it, and took her away. They attempted to extort 20,000 yuan from her family to release her.
13. [Guangdong Province] 610 Office Agents Attempt to Persecute Mr. Yuan Yicheng's Wife
Public security personnel in Jingou Village, Baita Town, Jiedong County, arrived at Mr. Yuan Yicheng's home on January 8, 2010. They told his wife to undergo a physical exam the next day. Mr. Yuan, his wife, and their daughter, Ms. Yuan Xiaolan, were arrested over three months ago. The police had to release Mr. Yuan's wife because a physical examination disqualified her. Mr. Yuan and his daughter were detained. His daughter faces a prison sentence. The police are now attempting to arrest Mr. Yuan's wife.

Mr. Xie Jialiang is a student at Sichuan Vocational and Technical College. He talked to people on the Internet about Falun Gong and the persecution. Police officers from Nanchong, Suining, and Chengdu investigated him. His teacher later reported him to the police.
15. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Shen Guiying Arrested
Hongqiao Police Station officers deceived Ms. Shen Guiying from Guangming South Village into venturing out the night of December 4, 2009. They then arrested and held her in the neighborhood committee offices overnight. Ms. Shen only wore thin clothing at the time and was taken to Beige Hotel in the Chongchuan District where Falun Gong practitioners are being held.
16. [Chongqing] Mr. Zhang Guangxuan Held in Custody
Qianjiang District Police Department Domestic Security Division officer Ran Maokai and others broke into Mr. Zhang Guangxuan's home on the afternoon of January 8, 2010. They took Mr. Zhang to the police department and confiscated an MP3 player and several cards with Falun Gong messages written on them. They interrogated Mr. Zhang but did not get the results they expected and released him after 10:00 p.m.
17. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Ma Haichao Arrested
Mr. Ma Haichao from Jinzhou City applied for an ID card at the Linghe District Police Department on the afternoon of January 5, 2010. The officer in charge of issuing ID cards reported him, and Linghe District Domestic Security Division officers arrested him. He is now in the Jinzhou City Detention Center.
18. [Wendeng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cui Xianling Subjected to Forced Labor
Ms. Cui Xianling from Cuijia Village, Houjia Town, was arrested on December 22, 2009. She was held in the Wendeng Detention Center for 15 days. The officials had planned to send her to a forced labor camp. After she returned home, Officer Xiang Hongping from the Domestic Security Division arrived at her home and gave her a copy of "Notice of Forced Labor," saying that she would serve the term outside the labor camp.
19. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Yan Subjected to Forced Labor, Funds Extorted from Her Family
Ms. Liu Yan, employee of the Huanxiling Oil Production Plant, was reported to police on September 29, 2009, as she distributed information about Falun Gong and the persecution. Huandong Police Station officers arrested her and ransacked her home. Her family was forced to pay over 80,000 yuan to secure her release. She was subsequently sentenced to two years of forced labor, but could serve the term outside the labor camp.
20. [Hanyin County, Shaanxi Province] Middle School Teachers Mr. She Chengbang and His Wife Ms. Peng Xia Arrested
Mr. She Chengbang and his wife, Ms. Peng Xia, from Hanyin County were arrested on April 6, 2009. Mr. She is now in the Hanyin Detention Center, and Ms. Peng is in the Ankang Detention Center. They have been held for nine months. Their families are forbidden from visiting them.

Ms. Bailizhu from Daqing was transferred from the Daqing Detention Center to Harbin City Forced Labor Camp on January 8, 2010. It is said that she was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor.
22. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Xiaoxiu and Ms. Wang Kuihua Arrested
Ms. Liu Xiaoxiu and Ms. Wang Kuihua spoke with people about Falun Gong as they issued Hong Kong and Macau travel passes. They were subsequently arrested.
23. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liang Qidong Held in the Jinan Prison
Mr. Liang Qidong from Weifang was transported to the Jinan Prison (Shandong Province No.1 Prison) around January 10, 2010.
