(Clearwisdom.net) Shen Yun Performing Arts astounded audience members in Fort Lauderdale, FL, on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
Ms. Abecassis, a former fashion designer, was full of awe and compliments for Shen Yun. "I did appreciate the costumes tremendously. The colors and fabrics--beyond expectation."
Ms. Abecassis, who convinced 25 ladies to join her in attending Shen Yun, with Sam.
Ms. Abecassis saw an advertisement in a newspaper and called to get more information. She got a DVD that had a brief introduction and a sample of what Shen Yun's performance would be like. "Nobody had any idea what the show was all about, so I showed them a little of the DVD, a few seconds of what it was, and right away, they wanted to come. I got 25 tickets. They're very, very happy they came. [They all said] 'Put my name down for next year.' "
When asked about the performances and which one really stood out, Ms. Abecassis said, "Oh, there were so many favorites. I loved the Mongolian one ["Mongolian Chopstick Dance"]. That was really beautiful. Everything, everything was just very well-balanced, between the performance with the piano, the solos, the singers, and then all the dances. Everything was done so perfectly, I couldn't ask for more, really."
Ms. Abecassis was accompanied to the show by her friend, Sam, who is a retired national sales manager for a large manufacturing firm. His job took him all over the world. "It was a very beautiful show. I've been to China several times and I've seen some traditional Chinese dance and theater, before. But this--it was really fantastic, I think. It was really a great, great show."
Having been a fashion designer for over 25 years, Ms. Abecassis had more to say about the costumes. "The colors were unbelievable. And the fabrics, ah! Just flowing, everything. And the balance--everything was just perfect. We don't see things like that done here in America. So that was like a treat. And the background, that was unbelievable. I mean, like the characters coming out and coming out onto the stage. The combination of technology and old culture was great."
