(Clearwisdom.net) At noon on July 21, 2010, when four Falun Gong practitioners from the Haigang District in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province--Ms. Peng Xiumin, 54; Ms. Wang Shuchun, 61; Ms. Liu Chongjiao, 61; and Mr. Tian Shujun, 50--were speaking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong at a construction site in the Beibuyuan industrial area, Zhou Haitao and other officers illegally arrested them, took them to the Beibuyuanqu Police Station, and detained them for several days. Later, each of them was sentenced to forced labor for one year.
Ms. Wang Shuchun and Ms. Liu Chongjiao were able to return home because the forced labor camp refused to accept them when they failed the physical. Ms. Peng Xiumin has been detained in Kaiping Forced Labor Camp in Tangshan City, and Mr. Tian Shujun in Qinhuangdao Forced Labor Camp.
These four practitioners were all severely sick before they practiced Falun Gong, but they all became healthy and happy after they began practicing. Because they have benefited so much, their sincere wish is to tell people about how wonderful Falun Gong is and to let everyone know how the Communist regime has lied so they can have a bright future. Now they are imprisoned and being persecuted by the CCP.
Interrogated, But No "Confessions"
After they were arrested, they were taken to Beibuyuanqu Police Station. When they all refused to answer any questions, they were berated and threatened by officers Zhou Haitao and Tao Aimin. During the 12-hour long interrogation, Zhou Haitao set the air conditioner to its lowest temperature, making the three practitioners shiver with cold. When Ms. Liu Chongjiao, who is over 60, asked Zhou to turn off the air conditioning, Zhou laughed, "Why should I turn it off? I want to leave it on so you can feel cool."
Zhou Haitao and other officers took away the four practitioners' personal belongings, including Falun Gong informational materials, a camera, a watch, money, keys, a bicycle, and other items. When they failed to coerce any of the four practitioners to "confess," they took them to Qinhuangdao City Detention Center the following night.
At the detention center, the practitioners did not go along with the persecution and resisted by refusing to put on jail uniforms. Officer Tong Junying was so angry that he made them sleep on soggy, rotten, and uneven wooden boards. There were many mosquitoes on the walls. The practitioners had nothing to cover themselves with as protection from being bitten.
Force-fed Drugs in the Detention Center
In order to resist the persecution, the practitioners refused to eat, drink, or do slave labor. Tong Junying and four other police officers, including Zhou Haitao, took the practitioners to the police hospital, supposedly for a physical examination. Ms. Wang Shuchun and Ms. Peng Xiumin were found to have high blood pressure of over 180, and Zhou and the other three officers fed them drugs against their will. Ms. Wang refused to take the drugs, so Zhou and the other two officers threw her down onto the bed, pinched her nose tightly, opened her mouth, and forced the drug down her throat. When Ms. Wang spat it out, Zhou got so mad that he tightly covered both her nose and mouth nearly suffocating her. While she was nearly unconscious and powerless, they force-fed her the drug and injected her. When Ms. Wang came to and asked what the infusion was and why it made her feel so bad, Zhou lied and said it was glucose. Later, when Ms. Wang saw a sheet on the infusion stand and tried to pick it up and read it, Zhou quickly ordered another officer to take it away from her. After the infusion was done, Ms. Wang's entire body was immediately in pain, her heart hurt, and her head hurt so much that the blood vessels felt like they were throbbing and ready to burst. These painful symptoms lasted for several days.
When Ms. Peng Xiumin refused to be force-fed, Zhou and the other three police officers threw her down onto the bed. One held her head, one held her body down, one restrained her thighs, and one pinched her nose. They forced opened her mouth, pushed the drug down her throat, and injected her with an unknown substance. After two days, there were still two large black and blue areas on Ms. Peng's thighs.
While Ms. Wang went to the restroom, Zhou even opened the restroom door and stood there with another male officer watching her the entire time.
In the police hospital, Ms. Peng and Ms. Wang kept telling Zhou and other officers that good people will be rewarded while bad people will be punished, and asked them to look out for their own safety by not aiding the evil regime or committing any crimes. But Zhou didn't listen and even slandered Master Li and Falun Dafa when Ms. Peng and Ms. Wang repeatedly asked him to stop.
Zhou Haitao, Tao Aimin, and other officers monitored all the cell phones and home phones of the four practitioners' families. They collaborated with the local police station, residential committee, and family members employers' to harass and frighten the practitioners' families.
Unlawfully Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor
Six days after the arrests, Beibuyuanqu Police Station collaborated with Qinhuangdao City 610 Office to sentence the four practitioners to forced labor for one year. Ten days later, without informing the practitioners' families, they secretly moved the practitioners to Qinhuangdao City Forced Labor Camp. Because there are no women in Qinhuangdao City Forced Labor Camp, they sent the three female practitioners to Kaiping Forced Labor Camp in Tangshan City the next day.
Tangshan Kaiping Forced Labor camp refused to accept Ms. Wang Shuchun or Ms. Liu Chongjiao due to their physical conditions. Now they are both at home. However, Ms. Peng and Mr. Tian are still being persecuted in the forced labor camps.
