(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Dafa practitioner in China. Eleven years of ups and downs have passed since I started following our great Teacher in validating the Fa. I'd like to share with fellow practitioners some of my experiences in truth clarification. Please kindly correct my errors.
I remember one of Teacher's articles entitled, "Let Go of Human Attachments and Save the World's People." I didn't know what to say when I first exposed the persecution of Falun Dafa to strangers, because I was very nervous. I sounded like an actor reciting lines, wasn't effective at all, and I felt embarrassed. Following each event, I studied the Fa at home. I tried to determine which words weren't correct, and how they should be said, then I tried again and again. With the help of righteous thoughts, I gradually became confident in talking about Falun Dafa, and I've become more considerate, friendly, and compassionate without applying the "direct approach" when talking to strangers.
I try to establish some common ground with the people I speak to, such as talking about children if I run into a couple out walking with their child. I avoid being too wordy and stay away from saying negative things, so as to show the beauty of Dafa to the other party through my actions. This makes it easy to offer acceptable advice for withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
My understanding is that benevolent Teacher brings people with predestined karmic relationships to me. I was once walking on a busy market street when a lady who thought that she recognized me approached me from across the street, and asked where I was going. I gave her a kind smile, then she realized that she didn't know me. Yet, the opportunity to talk with her among all the strangers would not have happened without a karmic relationship. I explained the facts about Dafa, but she became quite upset, refused to believe me, then said something improper and disrespectful about Dafa's Teacher before turning around and leaving. I started sending righteous thoughts towards her to eliminate those bad elements.
I saw her again in a supermarket when I was helping another person withdraw from the CCP. She was walking towards me but hadn't seen me, and I quickly left, although I realized later that she was actually looking for me to save her. I left due to my own apprehension. I saw her a third time, just as I was getting ready to work with another person, and thought of avoiding her again. Reflecting on this, I didn't think this was the right thing to do, because she was waiting for me to save her.
I walked over, sat by her and said, "Hello there, we meet again - what a great karmic relationship we have!" She gave me a big smile. I smiled back compassionately, and said, "We see man-made and natural disasters every day on the news. These days, we need to look after our safety." She agreed, and I proceeded to tell her about Falun Dafa, the widespread and rapid withdrawals from the three CCP organizations by Chinese people, why the CCP is destined to be destroyed, and how precious our lives are, since we have only one life on earth. She thanked Dafa's Teacher and me. I also told her that she should read or view Dafa fliers or DVD's, because they're good for her well-being.
One time last year, I was explaining the facts about Dafa to a lady in front of a big supermarket, who said, "I greatly admire your Falun Gong Teacher, for there are so many people who defend him. A lady who lives just above my home was arrested a few times for saying that she practices Falun Gong, but she still stays steadfast in her faith. That's why I say that your Teacher is amazing." I said, "You can become healthy and strong without spending a penny - where can you find such a good thing? Nowadays, people can't afford medical treatment, and on top of that, there are counterfeit medications out there if you do manage to get treatment. After practicing Falun Gong, your bones, muscles and cells are strengthened. How could you get sick? Many people in the world practice Falun Gong, but China is the only nation that persecutes Falun Gong. Many practitioners were arrested and their organs were harvested for money. We risk our lives to tell people the facts about Falun Dafa in order to save them." She said, "From what you said, I'll withdraw from CCP." I said, "Good, I wish you good luck and happiness!"
After all these years of exposing the persecution, many people now understand China's situation and are waiting for salvation.
One person said to me, "You're already retired and the CCP gives you living expenses. Why are you still doing this?" I replied, "The CCP doesn't give me anything. I worked for it myself. Why don't they give to those without jobs or those who have to scavenge to survive? The CCP doesn't support people's lives. It's the people who support the CCP's life. We eat what farmers grow, and we wear what workers make. The standard of living in China is fourth from the bottom in the world. As a matter of fact, Chinese people are not dumb or lazy; they are internationally recognized as diligent and intelligent people. However, 70% of China's wealth each year is stolen by corrupt CCP officials, while the remaining 30% is shared by nearly 1.4 billion people. Most mainland Chinese can't afford health care, and poor families can't afford a proper education for their children." Although he didn't immediately take my advice to withdraw from the CCP, at least I clarified the truth about Falun Dafa.
All in all, I think that a good way to explain the facts about Dafa and the persecution is not to stir up one's negative elements, but to get rid of his or her attachment. Teacher said,
"Even when in your daily life you pass by people so quickly that you don't have a chance to talk to them, you should still leave them with your compassion and kindness. Don't lose those who should be saved, especially those with predestined connections. ("Teaching the Fa at the 2003 Atlanta Fa Conference," November 29, 2003)
My understanding is that our righteous thoughts come from Teacher's Fa. As long as we clarify the truth about Dafa with sincere hearts, those who we talk to will undoubtedly be touched, and our wisdom will flow without interruption.
