(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Rong Xiuzhen from Shijiazhuang City has been illegally detained in the First Detention Center of Shijiazhuang for two years. Her daughter is appealing for support from people of conscience. On July 4, 2008, Xue Jianjun, head of Jiananlu Police Station in Shijiazhuang, and several other officers broke into Ms. Rong's house and arrested her. She has been held in the detention center ever since.
The following is Ms. Rong's daughter's account of what happened to her mother:
My mother used to be very pessimistic. My father had polio when he was child and then developed a disability. He had a bad temper and wouldn't help with the housework. They always fought with each other. Since neither of them had a formal job, our family's financial status wasn't good.
My mother began to practice Falun Dafa in 1999. She stopped complaining about the hardships in life and began to look inward to find her own shortcomings whenever she had a disagreement with someone. After she started cultivation practice, we never again had to buy any medicine, which greatly improved our financial situation. Because her outlook on life had changed and she was so much happier and easy to get along with, both my father and I supported her in her practice of Falun Dafa. After the persecution started in 1999, my mother still practiced Dafa and clarified the truth to people every day.
In April 2006, my father suddenly died from a stroke one night. My mother raised the family by herself and financially supported me so that I could go to school. In September 2006, I was admitted to a university and left home to attend.
On July 3, 2008, I went home for summer break, and my mother brought my grandma from our hometown to stay with us. On the morning of July 4, my aunt also came to our house. Just as we were talking with each other, there was a knock on the door. My mother went to open it. After a while, I heard some noise, so I went out to see what was going on. A group of officers from the Jiananlu Police Station were demanding to search our house.
My 80-year-old grandma was so terrified that she dropped to her knees. But this didn't stop those people from ransacking our house. A big man pushed and shoved my mother around. After a while, some of the officers took my mother, aunt, and me to the police station. The rest of them stayed behind and kept searching our house.
They questioned us regarding my mother's cultivation. After that, two officers took turns to monitor me. Around 8 o'clock in the evening, an officer took my aunt and me out of the police station. He told us that some officers were staying at our house and we couldn't return home. I said I needed some things, so we went back. Upon entering I saw that everything had been ransacked and the house was a mess. Several officers were sitting in our house.
That officer took my aunt and me to a hotel. When he was checking in, I learned that he was the head of the Jiananlu Police Station, Xue Jianjun. He gave us his phone number and then left. My aunt and I stayed in the hotel for two days. Later, my aunt went back to our hometown and I went back to my paternal grandmother's house.
My mother was soon taken to the First Detention Center. When we heard this, my family members and I went there to deliver some clothes and cash to her, but we were not allowed to visit her. In September, school started again, so I went back to school with the money raised by my relatives. When I was at school, my relatives gave me a call and told me about the first hearing. My mother did not give up her practice and kept saying that she hadn't done anything wrong.
In September 2009, I graduated and went home. But there hasn't been any decision in my mother's case. My family members were only present at the first hearing--none of them were informed about the two later sessions. We only heard about them afterwards. The last hearing was on June 23, 2010. Two years have passed since July 3, 2008, but the officials who are responsible haven't given us any explanation and my mother is still being detained.
I appeal to all people of conscience to please help me! I am only a young girl who just graduated from school. I really miss my mother!
