(Clearwisdom.net) LOS ANGELES--Ashwin Bhindi from Bhindi Jewelers was "very, very impressed" with the Shen Yun Performing Arts show held at the LA Music Center, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, on Wednesday, Feb. 10.

"The colors, the themes, the continuous flow of the show was very, very impressive."

"I found this show very, very entertaining and very much an enthusiastic show," he said.

The Shen Yun performers are mostly of Chinese decent now living in New York. Shen Yun brings China's authentic cultural heritage to the stage through music and dance. According to the Shen Yun website, Classical Chinese dance has as its foundation China's divinely inspired culture of 5,000 years.

Mr. Bhindi was enthralled with the dances. He said, "Beautiful dances; very, very elegant and very, very flow-etic in their style and choreography. All of them were very synchronized, so it just made it a very beautiful show."

He was particularly moved with the performance Fairies of the Clouds, where the celestial fairies dance in the heavens. "You know I was actually very taken aback with the cloud piece with the women going into the clouds," he said.

"A lot of the dances where they had the long sleeves that were kind of flowing with the rhythm and the styles of the song were really, really nice. I really enjoyed them," he continued.

He was also impressed with the male dancers; the dance with the drums, he said, "was very, very nice too. I enjoyed that. I always enjoy percussion, so I enjoyed that."

Mr. Bhindi is of Indian descent and appreciated the costuming. He explained, "The colors and the dancing is something I can very much relate to, but this is a totally different style. Very unique to its own and very, very well done. Wonderful, wonderful!"

Shen Yun incorporates animated digital backdrops, enhancing the overall performances. Mr. Bhindi felt "it was such a nice incorporation with the background, the digital background, and they brought it to life, bringing it on the stage. So it was so nice to see that ... this time it felt almost 3-D, because the characters were coming from the screen onto the stage to life, so the mix of that with the ... deities and the dances and the culture was just perfectly blended."

Mr. Bhindi liked the theme running through the show. "It seems like it was every element from nature to religion to a celebration of life. It was just a very, very nice transition done between all of them, and thematically I thought it was very, very well done."

Mr. Bhindi has lived in China and understands the suppression of freedoms the Chinese people are subjected to. He spoke specifically about one of the performances depicting the present day persecution of Falun Gong in China. Falun Gong is a traditional, peaceful meditation practice.

"I understood the background of the Falun Gong and the appreciation and the right to speak your mind and to kind of have your own cultures and belief without punishing others; that it's okay. So that was something I really enjoyed to see.

"It's a very heart-wrenching situation and it's almost hard to see people be punished or treated unfairly when it's purely about a spiritual belief."

"It's sad to see that, and to this day, it's going on. But it's good that it's brought to attention in a show like this, so the world can see that there is such a thing going on. But at the same time it is okay [for others] to support and take recognition. It's really nice," he said.

In summing up, Mr. Bhindi said, "I definitely have a deep appreciation for the arts. And this is one show that I'm certainly glad I did not miss."
