(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Deng Fangbin, Ms. Yang Liyan, and Ms. Zhong Fengyan, practitioners from Guangzho City, were arrested by the Chinese Communist Party(CCP) authorities in January 2010. Ms. Yang is currently in the Tianhe Detention Center, Ms. Deng is in a brainwashing center, and Ms. Zhong's whereabouts are unknown.
On January 12, 2010, the Guangzhou City National Security Team ransacked the home of Ms. Deng Fangbin, also known as Ahui and Xiao Hui, with the excuse of searching for tickets to the Shen Yun Performing Arts show in Hong Kong. She was detained for five days and is now in a brainwashing center. On January 12, 2010, the national security team personnel first arrested Ms. Deng's husband who was on duty at work. Then the authorities went to their home and ransacked it.
Ms. Yang Liyan, also known as Xiao Yanzi, is an engineer at the Guangzhou Meilin Corporation. On January 18, 2010, it was confirmed that her home was ransacked by Guangzhou City's Tianhe Police Department and her work computer was confiscated. She is in the Tianhe Detention Center.
Ms. Zhong Fengyan worked at a Neighborhood Committee Office in Guangzhou City. In early January 2010, the local police station and neighborhood committee interrogated her about who she visited on Saturday and Sunday in the area between the Tianhe and Huangpu Districts. Afterward, she disappeared and was believed to have been arrested by the local police.
After she started practicing Falun Gong, she benefited both physically and mentally. At the end of 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong, her right as a citizen. She was sentenced to one year of forced labor. After she was released from the labor camp, she continued to speak out for Falun Gong and tell people the real story behind the persecution. In April 2003, she was arrested by officers from Luogang Street Police Station while she was talking to people about Falun Gong.
