As the spring approaches, everyone prays for clement weather and a bountiful harvest. Yet in China, a frightening drought is spreading.
Mainland Chinese newspapers reported recently, "In southwestern, southern, and certain northern provinces, drought conditions are expanding. The most severe drought is in Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi and Sichuan provinces and Chongqing City. Currently 15 million people have difficulty finding potable water. More than 26.3 million people in Yunnan, Guizhou, and Gansu provinces are severely impacted. The top priority is to ensure drinking water for urban and village residents."
According to the Yunnan Province Bureau of Civil Administration, as of February 25, 13.8 million people suffered from the drought to varying degrees. Approximately 6 million people and 3.6 million large domestic animals lacked drinking water, and 3.3 million people needed government assistance to survive.
In Guizhou and Gansu provinces, as of March 1, 12.6 million people suffered from the drought, and 3.5 million people lacked drinking water.
Why is such a great drought happening in China? Is this a natural disaster, or retribution for crimes against humanity? Let's take a look at another drought, in1800 A.D.
In the spring of 1800, a great drought was happening in many parts of China. Emperor Jiaqing personally prayed to the heavens for rain, but there was little rainfall. He was respectful to the heavens and gods. He examined himself and realized that he had wrongly treated an official who was not afraid to offer honest advice. This official was first imprisoned and then sent to exile in Xinjiang Province. Emperor Jiaqing asked himself whether his own actions had caused the widespread drought. He took back his exile order and declared the official innocent. As soon as he wrote the last stroke of the new order, tears fell down his cheek. When the tears hit the paper, a thunderclap shook the earth, and there was a downpour. Emperor Jiaqing's timely reflection and repentance gained approval from the deities, and rain began to fall.
In ancient times, Chinese people had always paid respect to the heavens and dieties. They believed that if unjust things were happening in the world, strange phenomena and disasters would occur. These were signs to emperors that they needed to correct their mistakes. In today's world, there must also be innocent people who are treated unfairly, which has resulted in the disasters happening right now.
Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began persecuting Falun Gong in 1999, it has committed the most unscrupulous, shameful, and evil crimes against the practitioners of Falun Gong. Practitioners have been slandered, arrested, raped, tortured, killed, and their organs harvested. As of today, more than 3,000 Falun Gong practitioners have died from the persecution. While imprisoned, Wei Xingyan was raped, Gao Rongrong's face was destroyed by electric batons, and Wan Bin was beaten to death. These are just a few examples. An ancient civilization has turned into hell on earth. People of faith have become prisoners of the Chinese Communist Party. Isn't this the most unjust treatment? Would it not result in condemnation by the heavens? The CCP's tyranny and brutality explains why China has suffered from so many disasters in recent years. Even an emperor with limitless power was able to recognize and correct his mistakes. Yet the CCP, in the face of great disasters, not only does not show any remorse, but continues to torture kind-hearted Falun Gong practitioners.
